Here's a snippet of my email from Game, not 100% clear but states guaranteed for launch?

Hi Jamie,

We know you have preordered an Xbox One and we wanted to let you know about the latest exciting announcement!

Microsoft have just confirmed that the European release date of the Xbox One console is 22nd November 2013! At this stage we don't know how much stock of the Xbox One console will be available at launch, but as you have preordered the Day One Edition this is guaranteed for launch.

Just checked, I've got the same email but I am slightly concerned that i ordered my Day 1 Ed. on 22nd August and there may have been a cutoff date for launch deliveries even thou a Day 1 Ed was ordered.

Ordered mine on 23rd August but should be no issues as its day one release and they've taken the deposit so surely obligated to fulfil ?
Obligated to fulfil? No, not if they don't have the stock at launch. However, I'm sure everyone who ordered in August is fine, as I believe Game stopped taking pre-orders when they had sold all of their allocation.

If you ordered under the proviso that you will get it on launch day then yes you should get it. Unfortunately it is really easy for companies to be greedy sell through there allocated stock and continue selling even though they know they cant supply them. In this case sadly it is far to easy for them to get away with sending the item days or weeks after the event.

Best advice is to always goes with a reputable company with a proven track record in coming through with pre orders.

I half expect companies like GAME to be less reliable, I think it might be a bit like hotel rooms at places like the Holiday Inn or whatever, they sell more rooms than they have on the basis that someone will not turn up.

GAME might sell more consoles than they have & expect a few people to not come and collect their consoles at launch.

I'd guess all Day Ones should arrive on day one, unless we have some crazy November weather (I'm certainly not asking for that, unless it's later that week to delay the PS4. Just kidding. :D)
