**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Besides if you've never touched Forza, how do you know it doesn't compare? I didn't think much of the GT6 demo but will pick it up anyway next year. Forza 4 is just stunning.

It really doesn't. Forza has been the better game since Forza 2 IMO, and Forza 5 looks like it will just widen the gap. The only advantage GT has is that it has more cars, but that's about it IMO. It'll be interesting to see what the next gen GT is like and whether it can regain it's title, as I feel it's lost its way since GT4.

Yeah, I forgot about the extra pad as well! I think my current total works out to something like £690 for everything I'm buying. I know some people think that is mental, but considering I spent £1300 on a top end gaming laptop less than a year ago, I think it's excellent value for money considering the entertainment I will get out of it.
 
I can't wait for the Xbox One and PS4 to turn up, I'm actually really quite excited which, for a 34 years old bloke who doesn't game anymore, is quite a strange feeling. I've gone for the Xbox One because all my mates who still do some gaming are getting one and I've been pleased with my Xbox 360. I spent quite a bit of time on Forza, COD4, MW2 and Oblivion and am looking forward to the next generation of these titles.

I honestly couldn't care one bit about the technical differences between the next gen as I reckon it'll all balance out in the long run. The fanboy-ism of some members of this forum does continue to baffle me though. I've been here a long time (I was a regular lurker on Overclockers even before the big nuke) and read a lot of **** on here but the sheer vitriol and bile being spewed in here at the moment is mind boggling for a pair of consoles which haven't even been released. Some people really need to get a life, or just live and be happy that they can justify their own choices without ramming it down everyone else's throats.

Huh? Am I missing something? :confused: Are you just going to set the new console on the hearth as an ornament? :p

Did I miss something somewhere? I generally look in here, the PS4 and the Poll thread, and other than a few mild fanboy preference comments, where you can see their loyalty, I've not really seen any posts that could be considered Vitriol or bile spewing?

I'd say the console section has been quite well behaved!! And generally those obviously Pro-company comments get shrugged off by people who can see the bias.

I've not seen anything getting rammed down anyones throat..Well not in this browser tab anyways.
 
I can't wait to play Forza5. I think I will try and pick up DR3 nearer to launch. I'm not really wanting to pay any more than £40 for it, the over inflated pre order prices are just silly.
When I first played forza 3 then 4 it was a breath of fresh air coming from GT5. Don't get me wrong I'm a big ps3/ps2 fan and still like GT but it just feels a bit clinical and boring after playing forza.
The sound effects have always let GT down too IMHO.

:p nah, I'm looking forward to getting back into it with the new generation. Luckily their launch will coincide with me getting a bit more spare time, which is something I haven't had for the last 7 years or so.
 
Considering scrapping my pre-order now and picking up next year along with a price drop.

Only game from the launch title that is a "must play" for me is dead rising as not really into racers.

Was hoping for a Gears announcement but nothing from epic or MS, any news/rumours?
 
I'm not even sure there will be any more Gears now that Cliff and Rod are gone from Epic. The latest outing handled by that Polish studio was rather dire.

Not sure those two leaving Epic would cause another Gears game not to be made.

I reckon there will be another Gears trilogy at some point but know knows :)
