**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Struggling to decide whether to hunt around for any available pre-orders or leave it a few months and get one around Christmas/New Year. Preferred the 360 to PS3 mainly due to personal preference on the controller so the Xbox One is what I'm thinking, but I'm not interested in Kinect/integrated TV part of the console which is swaying me towards a PS4. Decisions decisions!

I'm not aiming to start another "this console is better than that console" but there must be other people thinking the same, how have you decided? Launch titles? Exclusives?

Games, games, games. Nothing in the PS4 exclusive line up is really gripping me (never liked Killzone much), while I am a huge huge fan of Dead Rising and Forza. That made it a really easy decision for me. Will still get a PS4, just next year when games like inFamous are out.

Is there a list of decent release titles and close to launch titles? I'm sure there is in this thread but at 273 pages long it might take me a while to find :p

I'm not a fan of Dead Rising or Forza but Titanfall does look good.

I just don't want Kinect at all. The only Xbone game I'm interested in is Titanfall but I'll play that on 360. Killzone I really want though.

Didn't realise Titanfall was coming out on 360 as well. Looks like I might hold off then as the only games I know that I'll be playing are available on the 360 as well.

If your only planning on one console I'll counter Davey's response with Tech, Tech, Tech!

...or if you really like Halo ;)

It's a shame that YouTube compression is so poor and that it's an AI driver and no cockpit view. I found a higher res version that I downloaded of Gamersyde which was 570mb. Still I'd like to see it at full res.

i dont know why your in a rush i still remember what you did with your killzone 3 disc:p on a serious note though im eager for KZSF they have ditched the ariel drones mechs and like kz2 it will have custom warzones:)
however i have still not seen any confirmation on mobile grenade spawns they really came in handy if the rest of your team was being spawn camped. this is one of the reasons why i did not enjoy kz3 as much as 2 hopefully kzsf will be take the best of both.

If all you want is the most powerful device, then buy a PC. It'll blow both consoles away. Otherwise, pick the console that has the games you're most interested in. The people who pick the PS4 purely because it's more powerful make me laugh.

I was planning on 1 console for the last gen, think I went through 2 360's and 3 PS3's, and the obligatory paperweight Wii. I know I will get both of the new consoles, it's just figuring out when's best as I don't have any negatives against 360 performance at the minute,

I don't get that argument because the PC will get nowhere near the range of games either of these next gen consoles are going to get (and all the benefits that owning a console comes with). 90% of the games will overlap between consoles so to me it makes perfect sense to buy the more powerful machine. :)

Indeed, it makes no sense to me, oh I'll buy the more powerful, cheaper console, but then have no games I want to play on it/enjoy playing.

It's the reason I switched my pre-order.

Didn't see the point when all the PS4 games I was getting were third party titles. Now I can also enjoy Forza and Dead Rising 3.

It makes perfect sense to buy the console that has the games you want to play on it. For me, that's the Xbox One. The fact that the PS4 is more powerful is irrelevant as my PC is more powerful than them both (and a rather large portion of the launch titles are coming out on the PC anyway).

Again though if your only planning on one console why base your decision on a handful of launch titles when over the lift span of the console they will be largely insignificant in the grander scheme of things.

It makes sense to buy the console you will use. For me if I was to buy a PS4 I would use it only for cross platform titles like BF4, the exclusives leave me cold. The Xbox exclusives are right up my alley so that were my cash will be spent.

If you have no interest in the exclusive titles on either side then yes PS4 will prolly be better (how much better no one can say yet).

Between the X-Box One and you having a powerful PC then yeah that does make sense in your situation but I don't think that describes the average customer of these consoles. Also there's so many future exclusives you have to take into account not least of which is Naughty Dog.
