**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Jesus, it's just dawned on me... IT'S NEXT FRIDAY ISN'T IT :-O

The rain forest say they ship on the 20th for an estimated 22nd delivery. You never know, it might arrive on the 21st

I may have to cancel mine :( The closer the date comes the more I realise how skint I'll be for the Christmas month :D

Bills, PS4, New TV, Bulb for the projector and the Xbox ONE....

Looks like no one will be getting Xmas presents this year :D

I hear you, XB1 is out the weekend of my one year wedding anniversary.

No chance for you then. I'm going to have to try and get it set up with 3 excited boys annoying me although won't get much chance to play until they are all in bed. Then I'm out all day Saturday and most of Sunday.

Bloody hell, didnt realise it was that close for some reason.
The internet is going to implode when people initially get them and problems of what the can and cant do might well cause a rip in time and space.

what do you mean. Obviously XBOX comes over a wedding anniversary.
If she loves you, she will understand :D

Already posted in the DR3 thread.

Apologies didn't see it.

Under any other circumstances this game would have been delayed, however it is the big launch title on the xbox one, a sort of eggs in one basket situation. Very disappointing as the sheds a very bad light on the console itself

Just because its a launch title doesnt mean it couldnt be delayed, just need some big balls to make that call and the most I suspect wouldnt, which is a shame for gamers...

A lot of that might be down to how quickly they think they can fix any issues with a patch. If it required several months work I think it would have to be delayed. If it's something a patch will fix in a couple of weeks, I can understand them sticking to their original release date (assuming of course it's something they fix via patch).

I largely expect it to just be written off as done now - I don't think we will see any large improvement in graphics / framerate from Dead Rising 3. What we may well see if a very quick sequel / add on that rectifies a lot of the issues.

I think the main thing is for at least 90% of the people out there who are likely to buy a XB1, they couldn't give a damn about frame rate / resolution. Ask your more casual gaming friends about frame rate and they will give you a puzzled look

Well there is that, but it so easy to see the painted target on such a title especially when it been scheduled as a launch one, having a unknown patch as a caveat isnt going to make a difference to the negative headlines/posts.

I honestly cant see the reasoning behind not delaying launch games that really dont show off your console, no one remembers if you fix them (look at Ghostbusters or Bayonetta) in the end. Its a tough call for the developers/publishers, really tough - I just dont see it as such when it comes to a gamer...

Yep, first impressions do stick, releasing a game that has lots of issues and then patching it later on will nearly always be worse than a small delay to be honest.

But you will tend to find that it's the people who do give a damn who are first in line to buy new hardware.
