Yeah I always knew it was going to be hard to stomach, after seeing it on a computer screen, the very first time.. But you know, often you find a way to deal with these things.

It's now that I've actually seen it in person and now that I know it can't be vertical, and there's just NO WAY for you to hide it, it now becomes a deal breaker.

The only good thing is that I'm guaranteed one, which i can use as a bargaining tool, to get a PS4 for the kid.

yeah because standing a console up vertical will look more minimalistic :roll eyes: too be honest sounds like you suffer from ocd and if you got laughed twice before for posting utter rubbish surely you would have thought mmmmm maybe i will keep this to myself or did you do it for a reaction ? i don't get this whole size,noise,smell colour whatever it is. if your a real gamer and you like playing games you don't care about that stuff unless you have a nagging wife telling you ya can't have that thing in my living room ;)
 
Just so you know, in design aesthetics, the XO has more typical minimalist design cues in it over the PS4. So I don't think you know what minimalist means.
 
Few people have got their xboxes early in Gibraltar, reporting day 1 update patch installing with no problems. (Off a local games facebook page, know quite a few of the lads who post in there)

your very minimalistic :eek: big thick cables would be the least of my worries with those ornaments above your tv especially that cat :eek:

I'm just a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to these kind of things. With a console vertical, you can place it behind the TV out of sight. Or face on, so you only see a small part of it. Then its doable.
 
Is there a lot of you getting the XBO on friday then? Looking forward to seeing what you all think.

Just watched a video and the system does look nice, but it is HUGE! How much do you think it will be without Kinect, since there is now an option supposedly?

Why would you want it behind the TV? That would be a total PITA.
 
Your going to put a disc based machine behind the TV? You going to do the same with the PA4?
From that pic you have the ability to be completely minimal but you seem happy to have a fill AV stack sitting right there.

Who said the XBOX would be going in my living room? ;)

I don't want kids jumping around in front of me playing their games.
 
Putting a console behind a tv is just stupid though. I mean consoles need ventilation that's like you know how it keeps itself cool. If you ram in a small space where it is going to get no cool air then it's going to overheat. Probably explains why you had 5 xboxs RROD on you, sure they had problems but hiding it somewhere with no airflow will just exacerbate the situation.

also was a owner of the original ps3 george forman grill the worst looking console I've ever owned ;)
