Jesus **** that's even worse than what they normal call reviews for a blog site, the tone on that guys voice tell you VERYTHING about how bad the Verge is at reviewing any product with a plug, I wouldn't trust these guys to be able to review a kettle properly.

I agree with voice commands, same as siri and the google counterpart. Rather navigate manually than sound like a tit even to myself.

As for second part....everyone i thought? Only my nephew that i know of that doesnt and thats because hes a kid so has it in his room on a little tv. Surely the point of a console is the comfort of playing in the lounge/with mates around. If you take games super seriously then get a pc.

Launching a function fine, navigating not so sure. Internet browsing, I'd hope to be able to just pick up my wireless keyboard and use that. Do you think the voice thing is just a gimmick that you will lose interest in by day one? Just like the iphone voice thingy that was marketed so much yet just a gimmick? I do.
 
Boogies review is out on which console to choose, he starts off saying he has an open mind but dribbles on about ps4 and just quickly touches on the One. Me personally...seems like his mind was already made up when he realised he preferred Sony many years ago.

I again got a bit twitchy so emailed them...

My order is a forza5 pack 429.99 (doesn't mention day one) ordered on 11 sept

they basically said that unless the launch day is delayed they expect to deliver on Friday but the delivery is between 8am and 9pm:eek:

He came right out at the start with "I am a gamer".

That's pretty much sums it up, since the XB1 tries to be more than just a console, it is clear he will go to the PS4.

After your reaction i decided to watch it and see what you were on about. Seemed to me that he tried to be positive but honest, pointing out good points and the potential but not glossing over the problems.

I thought that initially but watching the videos I would use it to launch an app to save scrolling through a heap of stuff but would then use the pad once the app was launched.

Say like quickly launching a music player, or maybe selecting an album but scrolling through songs I'd just use the pad. I guess each app will be different as to what depth I use voice commands.

I actually thought that Verge review was pretty good. I didn't think it slated the console at all.

Me either. Distinctly unimpressed (again) with the MS Store.

Twattered them earlier and got this : MicrosoftStore: Pre-orders are currently being processed. Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours to receive shipping info.
 
They promised it would arrive Friday when I called to change the payment method a couple of days ago.

If the Day One's don't arrive on Day One they'll get a slating.

My eyes arent great and a lot seemed back and forth apart from the last pair, painfully different. Could just be the split second of the shot though maybe?

edit: just read the thread and they were talking about shadows, looking back now i see that i completely missed the fact that practically all of the shadowing was gone lol. Obvious now i know about it though.

Hold on. Are we seriously comparing a Twitch compressed video, which is then uploaded to youtube, with even MORE compression... and then comparing it to a video?

EDIT: Ok didn't see the video link. It's not twitch fair enough.
