I know a lot of people don't like them, but I tend to find IGNs review scores match my own preferences incredibly closely (which I guess is the only important thing), so a score of 6.8 from them is okay. I don't think anyone expected Ryse to be amazing, but if I can blast through it quickly and then sell it for minimal losses, that'll do me.
 
ha I'm not touching Ryse with a bargepole now. There's plenty of great pc games I can be cracking on with and Forza/Dead rising/golf. For March looks like D4 might be my next game. I'll have a ps4 by then so my multiplat will be destiny for that and second son/driveclub. I'd quite like a nice xbox one game that I can't get better elsewhere eg titanfall will be great on my pc.
 
The scores for Ryse are what I expected yet I had hoped it would be good.. should have known better when reviews are held back for so long, ohh well :(

Is it true that the Optical Out on the Xbox one will not work until next year? I've just been told that but can't find any info on it, really not going to be happy if that's the case.
 
It works for optical stereo but not surround until next year. I tell you hwat at this rate if Forza 5 bores me in 1 day I'm selling up.
 
those patch files have been available for a couple of days. presumed theyd been posted. I was tempted to download them at work as the internet is super fast but Im not really keen on bricking my console so I will just be patient and let it do its thing.
 
Will it be hard to get hold of one of these? I didn't pre-order one.

Thinking of getting one for my dad as an early crimbo prezzie. Will have a look round tomorrow.
 
So, what's everyone going to do first when they get their console and it's all set up? Play around with the OS and apps first, or jump straight into a game?
 
what are xbox one day 1s going for on ebay by the way? I'm trying to work out if I have enough for the ebay going price of a ps4 console. I'm skeptical of the only game I want Forza.......I'd love to have something like killzone to play now. You can move this to the ps4 thread if it's more appropriate there. (edit: i bought on credit am I even allowed to sell it?)
