Yea no worries at all mate, I'm only going to play it if the FS turns up though, I can't imagine playing a game like this on a controller again. I also got the xbox one live day one edition skin which I'm looking forward to seeing in action :D

No, because then your receiver won't be receiving the audio output by the Xbox. Connect the Xbox to the receiver as a source (input) like you would any other device.
 
Just called in to my local Tesco Extra to confirm whats what - no first come first serve stock - pre-orders only.

I'm the divvy who hasn't pre-ordered and was going to chance it. Any ideas on where will have stock available to buy on release?
 
Just downloading the update now... very fast, already on 31% after about a minute... and my average connection is just 18mbs...

Set up set some downloads going then tweak it a little maybe play BF4 while my downloads finish.

Anyone know if i can play SP while i download like i did on 360?
Slog through SP BF to unlock those guns while i download my stuff.
 
Forza 5 is going in first, the rest will wait until morning :)

Have to say the controller is lovely to hold, build quality much better than the 360 one. First time I've held one... I like!!

Gawd my minds hurting trying to work out once you connect it as normal as you said could you then put the receiver HDMI output into the XOs HDMI input and potentially do a Songs of Praise repeated candle thing...

The XO input becomes more complicated if youve got an reciever in the mix and want to use that for audio output aswell as connecting other devices through the XO...

Set it up, get DR3 installed and put Forza\FIFA on download queue. If you can do stuff when installations are happening, i'll set up some pins, download some apps etc.

As im picking it up at midnight, I expect to stay up for a few hrs, might just do an allnighter :cool:
 
Jealous of all you people getting to play it now and tomorrow. Mines in preorder from asda and is a Xmas present so I won't be playing it until then :(

Pfft... not bothered about FIFA so will just just put that on the background download probably... still reckon I'll get it down before it gets busy.

Damn... can't setup Kinetic yet as you have the turn the TV up loud and the GF is asleep next door!! Oh well, will wait till morning.
 
Right I have a dpd warehouse 2mins walk from my house in the country. Wounder if there is any cheap xboxones be sold out the back door :D
 
So we can actually download stuff from the marketplace while Playing and browsing videos now? That's the one thing that annoyed me on the 360 so much that you couldn't do anything else!
