**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Lee is currently making delivery number 23, you are delivery number 46.

Lee is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes away from you.

Lee is getting closer, come mate put the hammer down lol

Mine is here, setup and now doing the update (507mb). Incredibly quiet so far, if I mute the radio I can't hear it over the noise from the dishwasher in the kitchen. Obviously it'll get noisier when playing and installing games. Looks really nice IMO, fits under my TV and next to my 360 really nicely.

The controller is very nice so far. Not 100% convinced about the shoulder buttons yet, but I think it'll only require a very tiny adjustment in how I hold the pad to sort it.

Will update more when I've installed the update and done a few bits and pieces.

Kinda what I am thinking, if no delivery today I'll file for refund as I paid with paypal, and download it. Ok I'll be short of a few cars but meh.
Do you know what the pricing is for the game and the vip ?

I was only getting the LCE for the VIP code as i'm going with all downloaded games this time.

I'm getting the Forza download with my console, so it's only the £16 for VIP i'll be buying.

I'll return the LCE to Game when it arrives.

How can I check my free space?
Xbox One monitors your available hard drive space. When it starts to fill up, a message appears on your dashboard warning you that you’re low on space. These messages are stored in Notifications. You can check to see if you have any unread messages by saying “Xbox, go to notifications” or by selecting Notification to the left of the Home screen.

If you don’t have any notifications, it means that you have plenty of free space. If you are running low on space, try deleting unused or seldom-used content.

Ahh cheers for that, kinda dumb that we cant delete games as and when we need to.

As long as we can pick and choose which games and stuff we can delete then its all good.

Any chance of some pics Davey? The only thing holding me together whilst waiting for mine is looking at other peoples setups at the moment :o

I imagine the ability to check HDD usage will come with an update, cause that's pretty silly.

I don't think it is. Giantbomb had an explanation for it after discussing it with Microsoft and they knew that something like 80% of gamers never played more than one title at a time and another nearly 20% never had more than 3 on the go. So they simplified it so that you don't need to worry or manage it as apple would.

The xbox monitors your data when it starts to get full and automatically starts to delete stuff you haven't used the longest. Game installs, not saves etc.

You can delete games whenever you want, you just don't have an indication of free space.

How??, there isnt any way currently to see whats on your HD:confused:

Hope so as it would make things a bit more easier ie some games i will finish then sell or trade them in, no point in me having the game saves on the hd when i wont be playing that game again etc.

That could be an issue ie Fifa14 which i really have no interest in but is a digital download so for example if i play it the once and never touch it again but then at some point in the future, i may want to play it but only to find its been deleted.

This is why im hoping they will add the option to choose and pick which games you want to delete rather than having the xbox do it for you automatically.

I'd agree, sounds like a feature that won't work as intended and cause headaches for people.
