The Xbox looks like a VCR lol. That would really put me off tbh. 360 had a much nicer design.

I've got to say with it in my setup it looks beautiful, much nicer than my launch PS3 anyway.
Just had a chance to play a bit of Killer Instinct before bed... Not bad, but not great. Doesn't probably help that I suck at it mind!
Loving the Xbox One so far, despite a few niggles that will (I'm sure) be fixed in patches.
Bring on the PS4 launch next Friday

If how a games console looks will really put you off then you're doing it wrong. You are supposed to look at the screen when you play games not the black box with flashing lights.
Man I'm loving Ryse, didn't notice the time lol.
My quick break down of Ryse, if you like the slow mo fight scene in 300 when Leonidas runs across the open ground at normal speed and then it slows down when he chops peoples limbs/off and stuff like that the game may be for you. If you feel you could do that for a whole game then this is for you. Not going to lie, first 15 mins I was bored, however I stuck with it and I love it. Seriously the executions are epic and for me they don't get old but I think that scene in 300 is one of the best action scenes ever so for me albeit Romans I'm basically living out that scene in 300. There is nothing ground breaking in this game, in my opinion and to my eyes it looks next gen, people moaned about FPS drops, I've not had a single noticeable one yet I'm near the end, I'll try the mult player after but I'm happy I got this game, it was a good experience. For most people out there I would say wait until it's cheaper although I've loved the experience. It's a mishmash of so many movies which is kind of cool. The QTE are done in a way that the person you're killing lights up and you can press the corresponding button and it will bag you bonus points, or you can just mash the attack button and it will still execute them but not give you as many points.
What didn't you like about KI? I tried the tutorial and felt it had the best tutorial of any game I'd ever played, also it looks ace, plays really smooth and is a great beat em up.

Thanks, saves me thrawling the the thread. Bit daft it's not there tbh.
Only played Forza so far, and I think it's very good. The triggers really help with the whole experience, but I think the physics, IMO, are a good improvement over FM4. Graphics are epic for this early into next gen, and you really have to stop and peer at the crowd to notice how it is 2D.
I'm actually enjoying the Kinect. If you watch the Major Nelson video with boogie2988, he says exactly the same. You wave a hand around, shout at it, and it just works. Seems like IGN really are a bunch of *******. Talk to it with a very silly accent, (Monty Python like), and it understands perfectly!

One of my friends spent all day yesterday returning 2 midnight launch consoles from GAME. He queued all night got home (crunchy drive) went back, managed to get it replace but had to go to another store for stock (crunching drive again). Now he is on his 3rd and all seems well.
What was wrong with it?

Was gonna grab some other games to try, saw the £45-£65 price tags, checked some of the videos via the dashboard videos thing. Looked thoroughly ****e all round. Nothing felt worth the price tag to be honest. I'd of been happy to play some indie crap or arcade games till something better comes along, however there is **** all on xbox live other than adverts for the launch titles and their day one DLC / special editions that cost silly money.
My advice, don't buy until there are some games worth buying it for, I learned the hard way! Also the machine its self looks incredibly unimpressive, it's really apparent the game demos shown at launch and E3 were running on decent spec PC's as the graphics of the games played on the console look mediocre. Check out HD gameplay of dead rising 3 and ryse, they look like xbox 360 titles to be honest. GTA 5 was on par graphically.
Very impressed with the console so far. The one thing that impresses me the most is Kinect and how well it works, sure there have been a few occasions where it hasnt responded but its o

I love how you can speak to do sustitutions in Fifa, which means that you dont even have to pause the game to go into a menu, also love the fact you can lean in Battlefield 4. Its a worther addition to the console and im actually glad the bundled it with the console.
My ultra quick review on the games i have :
Fifa 14 :
Wow, probably the biggest suprise for me as I have heard less about it (compared to Batty, Forza etc). It looks stunning and the replays look incredible, if you were to squint when watching a replay you would think it was real. It plays like proper football and the crown are very good, It just feels right this year,
Forza 5 :
Probably the biggest let down for me. Yes it looks stunning, but i wouldnt say "OMG IT THE BEST GRAFICS EVAAR !!!!!111"
The reason i say that is because every review bangs on about how amazing the graphics are etc, yeah they are good and the game looks nice, maybe i have a different idea of what next gen is. On the plus side i think its slightly harder to play than Forza 5, I think the physics are spot on and definately keep you on your toes. It does need more tracks though big time.
Im finding this jump from Forza 4-5 a lot harder than the jump from Forza 3-4. Oh and a tip for people using headphones set the audio in Forza to Home Theatre rather than TV, sounds soooo much better.
I love the console though and im so glad ive bought one. Considering this is the start of the consoles life i think we are in for a good next few years.
