**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

I'm chalking it down to my generally awful mood yesterday. Had real good fun on DR3 last night with a mate. Sort of reminded me of Crackdown and Saints Row :D

No idea on FIFA, but BF4 is generally broke anyway.

I've got it on PS4, so don't kid yourself thinking it's better on that console. I've seen plenty of people moan about the servers on PC too.

I've got around 70-80 hours played on PC and I stopped playing because of all the bugs and other rubbish.

Has anyone else noticed the dashboard to be quite slow and laggy now?

My console is in 'xbox on' mode and when I turn it on now and move left or right in the menus it's not as fast/smooth as it was.

I had this. It launched apps and games smoothly enough, but scrolling side to side was a bit laggy. I did a full power down and restarted and now it's back to normal.

Just a bug I assume.

Every now and then I get alerted that I have a new follower, I presume this is because someone added me as a friend. It doesn't tell me who the new follower is so I have to select each one to see if they are a friend or not. Then I can add them as a friend. What was wrong with invites?

Am I doing something wrong? I can't help but think the whole Xbox live needs some work. It was perfect on the 360 but seems like it's stepped back now. Also none of the Xbox One stuff is being tracked properly on the Xbox Live site.

I would agree with this. I like some of what they've done (having the ability to follow others who you wouldn't be friends with), but a lot of it is a step backwards. It's surprising really considering that the majority of people would have put the 360 interface miles ahead of the PS3 interface (with respect to friends and parties), and MS have gone and drastically changed it. I'm sure they'll fix it soon enough as more people complain about it, but I'm struggling to see the logic in some of the changes.

Yes I can see the benefit of being just a follower (although wouldn't do it myself) but that should be separate from friend invites.

The big take away from now having both of the consoles is that the size of the One is pretty much justified. It's virtually silent in use, the PS4 makes a racket! Not that i'm bothered, but nice to know this gigantic Xbox and brick isn't all for waste.

Not got my PS4 to compare yet, but I'd agree about the One, mine is next to silent. When it turns on, I genuinely can't tell except for the fact the light comes on. I'm seriously impressed by how quiet it is, even when playing games.

The reports on the PS4 seem really variable. Mine's really quiet when the disc isn't being thrashed.

My ps4 in practically silent even when thrashing the hell out of games for a few hours.

I'm moreso talking in relative terms (the PS4 certainly isn't like a Boeing), but for example, playing Killzone with the disc spinning it's certainly PS3 loud.

The Xbox is like Garfield purring in comparison. A very fat Garfield that's eaten too much lasagne, but the point stands.
