**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Yeah, ps4 stock is mad. As I said in the ps4 thread - if stock doesn't improve in the next few weeks I'll just grab an XO instead

I tried for over a week to sell my brand new unopened PS4 by using Sainsbury, Morrisons, Tesco via for sale sections all in a large town for a very reasonable price and got absolutely no interest from people at all, had to take it back yesterday to Argos and get what I paid for it back refunded.

very reasonable but inflated price i bet ?

People want the PS3 because its cheap, and thus won't pay over the odds for it. Those that were willing, the true playstation die hards, have likely already got one.

Yes but I put £400 or nearest offer, you would have expected some interest, going rate on ebay is about £420 for a brand new PS4, not worth selling for that with ebay/paypal fees, anyway somebody can get one from a local Argos one opened by their staff though :)

That's what I think has happened with the xbox too and why there is so much stock about. The die hards bought them no matter what. The rest of the public won't shell out over £400.

I don't think a price cut will come pre-titan fall though. Even though I don't think it will be the system seller some presume, not without a true SP game.

IMO MS will have to release kinect less version to compete with Sony, as you said after die hards not many people willing to spend over £400.

PS4 has sold more units than xboxone so far so I don't think it's any thing to do with lack of stock allocation.

I initially thought that but having played with the interface I think it's essential to have it for quicker navigation around the god awful layout. I don't think I could use it without kinect, despite being adament I didn't want anything to do it with it.

LOL you do talk some nonsense, what things do you need to navigate too? Off course if you find yourself constantly navigating to something you can just pin it to the home screen.

Microsoft Complete. Gives you an additional 2 years of warranty for your console and up to two controllers for £60

e: You have 45 days from purchase to get MS complete. All warranties at the mount are until Feb 15 so you get an additional 2 years up to Feb 2017. So £30 a year for 2 additional years of cover. I'm tempted but I don't normally buy warranties.

My Kinect doesn't recognise me now. I work in food manufacturing and shave every day but since I finished for xmas I haven't shaved. 2 weeks of growth, so far, seems to have changed my appearance as far as the Kinect is concerned. I also have more grey in my beard than I did last xmas :-(

When you sign in select "Didn't recognise" and it will capture you again a long with your previous capture, after a few more times it shouldn't have any problem with various beard statuses.

So what your saying is it quicker to navigate round menus regardless of whether you have pinned it than just telling it to play X or goto x. Righto.

It's a point been made many times by reviewers and even on here than kinect is now a fundamental part of the experience. I'd be happier if it wasn't but it clearly is.

Perhaps a name change to Mr Nonsense would be more apt for you, keep trying though.

I will purchase it, I had more than my monies worth out of the 360 warranty. Although I did lose a lot of drives back when you didn't install games to HDD so that's not really an issue now :)

You missed the boat, everywhere has stock.

Sony got this spot on really, CEX are going to take a hammering. It's hilarious.

166,000 more PS4s sold in the UK than the Xbox One and they have managed to keep stock flowing again.

Xbox One .... my thoughts so far. Nice machine, but why would I want one over a PS4? I cannot think of a single reason. To play Dead Rising 3 maybe? Or would I prefer better versions of BF4, AC4 etc

The slick interface, party chat.... that stuff isn't as easy to use as it is on the PS4 right now. It isn't as fast, fluid or fun to jump into. Constant obstacles, that has been pointed out in here already by people and they got set on.

It's a disaster and sold ok on the back of the 360.

This thing needs to be £350 or less.

Microsoft are going through so much transition, it's rubbed off on this machine.

LOL you clearly spent 10 mins on the console just so you could moan about it as you do with 99% of all things gaming.

Give an example of the god awful layout you are having trouble with?
