Xbox One X

I’ve heard they OK, it’s the easiest process to go to them first, do you have a Scorpio unit? If you do I would go the MS route, if not go to Game.

Standard, I went MS route, it may be a refurbished unit, but they said it would be new, will soon see. Im honestly not to bothered providing it works, to be honest Im quite fed up with gaming in general at present anyway.

I understand that, but I was surprised by the sheer size of them (Forza 7 is almost 100GB in storage!), but I thought I could play the standard game, immediately after install without the updates. What actually happened on game launch was that it said I had to update the game and then when I tried to play the game, it said it was updating.

It's just not the experience I expected. I hope other games will be much smaller otherwise I'm going to run out of space fast!

When you first stick a new game in I suggest you don't update the game. Install first. For some reason simultaneous install and update takes forever.

My replacement/repair has now slid into the same pattern of behaviour as before. I played Fallout 4 over the weekend, a great game but an exercise in frustration as after a couple of hours of play i'd get the corrupt save error message or one about game sync issues.

Once i'd deleted them from storage an re-synced i'd lost an hour of play/grind. Finally, last night the game stopped playing at all, the title screen comes up, followed by a sound loop and then a black screen or back to home screen if i'm lucky. If i then restart the console from the menu it won't come back on, it sits at a black screen. If I remove the plug, it will reboot.

I reckon they reformatted my first one without checking it for an extended period and sent it back.

The xbox one x hardware is a joke. First my scorpio has hardware issues and now my standard one x won't read discs. **** this console.

Im on my fourth one now... lol

2 x scorpio editions (corruption problems, kicking from games with corruption issues) and one normal one (wouldn't read 4k blurays)

Glad to say my fourth now is all good :)

So, last night I missed my mouth when taking a drink of Sprite (I blame being in the top 10 on PUBG and not looking what I was doing) and it went all over my Scorpio pad. Left analogue is sticking and has like a weird ‘grit’ feeling when moving, lol. Wonder what the chances of me trying to claim on the warranty AND getting a replacement Scorpio pad and not a generic :/

How many ladders have you walked under :D

Xbox One X, had since day one, fine, play daily and situated within a Besta unit with the glass door shut.

Lucky you, my advanced replacement repair ordered requested on the 29th December is still sat at order received.

:(

I was told 3-5 business days, then I asked for a update via live chat and was told 10-11 working days.:(

Im not to fussed with the wait as I have my ps4, although Im disappointed having to get an exchange in the first place, personally speaking Xbox hardware seems really unreliable.

I remember my PS3 days with the first PHAT system, had so many replacements from Sony, I know your pain. The YLOD on PS3 drove me insane to the point I went out and got an Xbox 360 at the time. Considering that xbox 360 had huge failure rates with RROD - my xbox 360 was very problem free .

I guess the xbox one x failures will stop once they redesign again, just as the YLOD on PS3 with the newer slim models ceased.

I only ever had one replacement with PS, like you it was the Phat PS3 ylod, just pot luck it seem's.

Just give them a call. They send a console out to you and you have to send your faulty one back within 14 days or so or you get a £410 charge.

Just received an email to say my advanced exchange console is on the way... Finally.

Excellent, let us know if its a brand new console and not a "as new console".

How are you getting this "Advanced exchange" thingy? What is it and how do i sign up?

Log in on the MS website and go to the contact support page and speak to a chat advisor, they can set it all up for you.
