There have been people on here with loud fans which I guess were to do with overheating.

Mines a day one, inside an glass door Ikea Besta cabinet with the door closed and never skipped a beat.

My PS4 Pro scares the dog it's that loud if the door is left shut :D

Might have been an iffy batch of X's if the same store?

Love both machines although favour the X when purchasing multi-platform as not a huge fan of PS controllers (too small and light, the MS Duke was just right for me :D )

The price can be had waaay cheaper than that with bundled games if you look on HUKD.
 
Anyone had an issue with the XB1X powering off mid-game? Only happened to me once just now, was playing Recore (I don't recommend it!) and all of a sudden the console just "died". Powered it back up and has been okay since but very odd.
 
Can't say I've had that happen. And yeah, ReCore is a bit bland, was hoping for more taking it's the team that made Metroid Prime, one of my favourite games ever...

Running it on a surge protected socket? It apparently cuts the amount of power that the Xbox has... :confused:

I have mine running on one but haven't encountered an issue throughout owning OG Xbox and now the X (yet).

It's on a surge protected power board but it has been since day 1 (it's a Scorpio edition) and never had it happen before. Will put it down as a blip, if it happens again then will get on the blower to MS.

I bought disc based for not much more but wish I waited now, bargain as I'm going through the campaign which is fantastic at the moment.
 
Any ideas on the best deals for the X at the moment?

The best seemed to be Tesco but the controller isn't in stock at the moment so the deal doesn't stack up
 
Yeah I did have a look and everyone seemed to be mentioning the Tesco one but it wouldn’t work because of the controller.

I’m not in a big rush so will keep an eye on things.
