Xbox One X

But the bugbear that's making me wait is that the PS5 will undoubtedly be the first console that will output everything at native 4K with no resolution drops.

Problem with that is when the PS5 Is out then maybe the next even more powerful Xbox is out 6 months later...if you wait for tech you'll never but a thing.

Just get what you want at the time if money allows imo.

Anyone with projects cars 2 and f1 2017? How's it running in 1080p? Is it a locked 60fps even when cornering in the rain and full grid? I've a laptop with a 1070 and get some slowdown on corners when raining, this may be the console that'll make me go back to console gaming

I play FH3 today and thought it would be cool to buy my own car, however I had to pay real money for some car pack to buy it in game. Is this normal for the series? I detest micro transactions when it's blocking content

The night before I bought the X I was playing banjo kazooie and cuphead on the S thinking do I need shiny graphics?
Took the plunge anyway and after playing a heap of games yesterday and having a quick go on battlefront ii today, the answer is yes yes yes.
I think we all know how great the likes of forza, battlefront 2 and gears look, but even mirrors edge 9 years on looks very nice on a 65" 4k TV, and yes, we want a ton of new original games but hopefully there's a heap of classics getting a nice facelift for us to enjoy again.

Is anyone able to get 4k video streaming on YouTube on the X?
The relevant videos show me 4k in the link, click on them and the most I get is 1080p

Pretty sure that the YouTube app is still 1080p only, YouTube have never updated it on the Xbox.

Bit ridiculous, it was never updated when I had my old one s and I'm sure it's the same now for the X. I have to switch to my TVs built in YouTube app to view videos in 4k

After spending a solid weekend in the company of my Scorpio I'm just loving it! I've only got a 1080p tv but it still looks bloody impressive on the patched games I have available.

Forza 7 is silky smooth with the sunset rain races look gorgeous. Also even though I'm not an fps fan I picked up a month of ea access to spend the day playing the titanfall 2 campaign and colour me really impressed; not really experienced 60fps in an fps on a console before but this is a bit of a revelation...

It may not have been cheap and I'm only playing at 1080p, but it's quite a jump in performance from my original One and so so quiet; god I sound like an ms advert!!

Thanks, yeah, seems to be the case. And yes, ridiculous and bizarre.
Seems there's a beta for mytube which has 4k and possibly HDR playback too (although seems some are having issues with hdr videos) so hopefully that'll be available shortly working properly.
