Xbox One X

It wouldn’t surprise me if all the Microsoft games are being patched with an eye on the next console. So when you play them on Xbox Two or whatever it’s called, they’ll run at 4K60.

Yeah it's madness a USB interface would be faster than the internal SATA lol.

It says the minimum is 256Gb for external, but I have a 240Gb SSD attached and it works fine. I only generally play one or 2 games at a time so it fits them quite nicely without going too expensive (I bought my SSD 2nd hand for about £40)

Mine was also stuck at the Germany bit until it actually arrived in the UK, then it was 2 days once it hit the UK, about 15 days from me sending it off to replacement.
 
It's just louder than my standard one x and then every few seconds makes a weird purring noise. It really irratating so I'm sending it back...again.

Just had mine shipped today, I hope the fan is ok, as my original X was very nice and quite all the time.

I know you are sending your replacement back but do you know if it was a brand new console, or a refurb?

Nope, I have had a 240GB plugged in to mine since you could add external storage.

You can get a few games on it, I put the ones I am currently playing on it... big difference in load times.
 
I got a 500Gb external SSD yesterday to see if it helps speed things up a bit.

Right now its making a difference with the loads time on PUBG when it crashes and I need to get back in quickly.

It looked brand new to me. No marks on it at all.

Good to know, the last chat advisor I chatted to was pretty adamant they are brand new consoles they ship out, due to the release of the X still being only a few month's.
I think I read somewhere that you can tell by looking at the date label on the rear of console, think it says something different if it was a refurb.

The cheapest there is really. You're still limited by the USB 3.0 interface speed so there wouldn't be any difference between a cheap 500gb and an expensive one
 
Another question

My official microsoft play and charge battery doesn't last very long anymore. I looked at getting another and they are £30!

Usually I stick with first party products, but that is taking the wee-wee a bit. Do people here use 3rd party rechargeable ones? Can you recommend any?
