Xbox One X

so is that normal then ? as it seems very loud

That seems loud compared to mine, although I have not played on it much recently.

Compared to my PS4 pro I would say I don't really notice the fans ramping up on the X, I seem to get a more low and steady fan flow when playing games on the X, that I can not hear unless I mute the sound and get close to the console.

I think it's just pot luck, as some people say the ps4 pro is quite and others have loud ones,

My non scorpo X is nothing like that. After an hour of playing COD last night, I was only just starting to notice the fans but it was nowhere near as loud as that.

I've come in contact with 4 one X's now. The loudest is the coolest and the quietest runs the hottest. So I'm not sure which end of spectrum the defect lies lol. Also they're going to sound different depending where they are and how enclosed they are. All four though run perfectly!

I can't hear my Scorpio X when playing games, my PS4 Pro is crazy loud by comparison, I can hear that even with headphones on when it's working hard.

thanks all, I might just buy another one and see what happens as its driving me crazy, I know you have to have some sort of sound from the fan to keep it cool but to hear it from 4m away and sounds like a small hair dryer is not on to be honest as its very distracting.

Hi all what are Tesco,Argos and curry's like for returns if it goes wrong down the line or on day one as amazon have a good return policy its just there packs are not that good ?

COD Modern Warfare Remastered on X1X looks very ropey at times with very low res textures & lots of noticeable aliasing artefacts. Something went very wrong in the porting here PC version on Steam looks way better overall.

I can't decide on whether to get a X or S. I have a PS4 Pro and a gaming PC but I'm not using the PC as much due to buying a 4K TV and enjoying games in HDR.

So I'm taking a break from PC gaming but want all the bases covered.

I already own a few Xbox games such as Gears 4, Gears collection and Horizon.
I have access to a S which I have played these games on. Frame rates struggle a little on it and a some jaggedness here and there.

I was thinking that the S might make more sense and getting multiplats on the PS4 Pro instead.
Or is the X that much better which would relegate the Pro to exclusives only.

Looking at comparisons on Digital Foundry it seems that you have to zoom in to see the differences between the two 4K consoles in most cases.

What do you guys think?

Also has the early teething problems of X consoles crashing and loud fans been rectified?

Is there an easy way to get a PS4 controller to work on the Xbox One or will I have to buy a dongle thing like the Cronus?

I used to like the Xbox pads but the new ones the sticks are just too loose for my liking.

I find my ps4 controller sticks looser than my xbone ones.
I was gonna say this myself. Dualshock definitely looser than both my elite and standard V2 controller.

Definitely not for me (or at least to my feel). I've had about 6-8 Xbone controllers and the elite (which is what I'm using) and I just don't like them. They are OK for some games but when it comes to an FPS I just can't get on with them.

I'd order a Cronus now but I know they can also be used for cheating which is not what I want to do I just want to use a PS4 pad which is why I was asking if there's an alternative way of doing it.

OK.... I know this has been asked before but......

How do I give my 8 year old niece access to my Xbox live account while still maintaining an age restriction? This will be on another Xbox.

I'm dedicated to getting an Xbox one x but a baby has cost me quite a lot. Thankfully, I can still purchase a new game every now and then, and when I'm bored of it I've been trading them in for credit and eventually I'll get an Xbox one x :)
