I’ve currently got game pass ultimate, expires in December. Do I need to wait for that to run out before using the method above to extend?

You're in the same boat as me. We need to wait until the current time finishes and then you can top up with codes for Live. Hopefully, the offer of £1 will be on at that time.

Are you going to play Cyberpunk when it comes out or wait for the proper 'next gen' patch whenever that is.

Shame you didn't see the guide posted here as it's highlighted.
Was thinking about this last night, I hadn't realised the launch of the series x was actually just under 2 months away, so I could just wait 10 days after receiving the console and then add the code

It's pretty funny but also just highlights the poor naming of the consoles. They really should have just followed Xbox 1, 2,3 etc it's worked for Apple, Sony, Samsung!

Someone in the XBox marketing team obviously sees the 'X' as being a cool, hip'n'happenin selling point that's down wiv da kids, and have therefore re-used it for the new console.

As a PC game pass subscriber planning to buy a series X before Xmas, what should I do to take advantage of the convert gold function? I am just paying monthly for the PC game pass at the moment, using my old Xbox account which hasn't had Gold active on it for about 3 years. I'd like to add multiple years of gold and convert them, but not sure how my current PC game pass sub would affect the offer?

Starting to question my Series S order. Not sure it was the right choice. Immaterial really, as there were no Series X available when I ordered. But I'm tempted to cancel and wait for the X to become available.

The main driver here is backwards compatibility. Presumably Series X is getting all the same enhancements as Series S, but applied to the "One X Enhanced" versions of games (where available). Plus, having a disc drive opens up the possibility of grabbing cheap old games from CEX etc.

I'm also looking ahead to the game's coming out over the next few months, and finding I want to play Cyberpunk, Valhalla, Legion, Fenyx Rising, SW: Squadrons. Probably others as well, but these are the big ones. None of them are on Game Pass. Buying the games on disc and selling them on when completed could save a fair wedge.

Cancel your PC Game Pass. Let it lapse. And then follow the instructions in this thread:

It shows on my game pre-order as "collect from store on release date", even though I picked home delivery and it has my home address under the delivery address. Does anyone else have this?

I'll be playing it on release. Can always run through it again with the next gen upgrade.

Cyberpunk and Valhalla are preordered for me along with the X. Legion and Squadrons are definitely on my radar.
