Wouldnt trust curry's at all (especially if you think you are getting one on release date). Their pre order guide specifically says "subject to allocation".

So I bought a 144hz 1080p Asus monitor a while back and have just realised it's only the display-port that supports 144hz. I'd like to use an Xbox series X at some point on it and wanted to check if there is an HDMI to Display-port or HDMI to dual DVI option I can use. Any ideas or am I stuck with 60hz? Model is an Asus VG279Q 27".

Just got an email from ShopTo stating that they cannot fulfil my pre-order on day one. hmm I'll keep it to see if anyone cancels. I still have an Amazon pre-order, although do they confirm closer to the time?

I wish Microsoft would get more in their online store. I want to use my MS Reward points to knock some off. Maybe they're waiting until launch day, you'd think they would be the first one to get more.

Just had an email from ShopTo saying that I won't be getting a Series X on day one. I'm a little surprised since I registered my interest for both PS5 and Series X in mid June and confirmed my preorder as soon as the option were available and they confirmed that I got a PS5 for day one last week. I just expected to be able to get a Series X easier than a PS5. Still, I've got an Amazon preorder in as a backup so all is not lost yet. In all honesty they'd be doing me a favour by not allocating me one as neither console has any must-have stuff going on for a while anyway.

I just got email from shopto saying I’m good for day one launch. Paid and all done just need to wait now...... I registered interest in April..

The only thing with Amazon is that I've never had any comms from them before about any preorder. They've always fulfilled them without an issue but I've never preordered anything that's been in particularly high demand. Not sure if they'll let us know anything or not, guess we just have to wait and see.

Mine was ordered/registered in May and my email says: We have received the allocation details from Microsoft and, unfortunately, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to fulfil your pre-order on day one/release date.

Mine was 6th April day they went live.

I'm surprised I hadn't done it sooner but I guess I wasn't that excited about it, which is also the reason I'm not too mad about as there's just nothing on release :(

I'll leave my pre-order though as I reckon some will become available before release.

Xbox Series X/S will let users delete certain parts of games to free up space.

Another neat new feature for next gen Xbox. Should help with the limited storage space, if devs choose to support it (which I really hope they do). I don't really do multiplayer any more (except co-op and in games like Sea of Thieves), so I'd happily not install that entire side of things and save tens of GB in the process.

Oh that’s great. Yes, in many cases I wouldn’t need the MP component. It would be great to have the option.
