indeed but the jump between 720 and 1080 is not as big as 1080 to 4k. 4k is a new game changer and consoles are trying to run at this res AND look a lot better than last gen.

Eurogamer's Lets Play XBOX Series X says the dash is still embargoed as it's not the final version; she said they can only show it when switching between games.

This is a strange console launch, no launch titles to speak of but because of BC and Gamepass, everybody seems happy with what's coming down the pipe. I haven't really heard anything bad about it online from the influencer's either, just that it helps keep your room nice and toasty; bit like my PC!

Just paid for my Currys pre order :D Quoted delivery 22nd Oct, but I suspect they are just quoting +7 days to everybody at moment.

I don’t see how it’s not the final version when consoles are being delivered to suppliers. I suppose it means a big update upon setting up....

The heat issue has been mentioned over and over again, but the comments were taken out of context and there's a YouTube video by Austin Evans where he's specifically tested the heat and it runs up to about 56 degrees C.
 
1440p120 is my ideal resolution and frame rate. I’d happily drop the graphical settings to achieve this if given the option.

I hate going back to low frame rates.

Indeed, I'm a bit worried now that I'll get both PS5 and XsX and I'll still need to buy a space heater!!!!

My PS3 is normally in its box, which is where it got put in 2014 when I got the PS4. But I have been playing on it lately.
My PS4 Pro will also sit in its box, I'm not sure who would want to buy it with the PS5 having BC.
My PS4 and Xbox One I gave away to family.

I normally sell it for money towards the new one. Got rid of my PS4 for my PS5 preorder and will be selling my One X next February/March when I go for the XSX.

Quite tempted by the Series S for in the bedroom when it's the Missus's shot on the big telly in the living room!
