Going back to the Optimized badge on previous page, Aaron Greenberg says a bit more...

This badge is like next gen magic. The bar is high for a game to be Xbox Series X Optimized. Way beyond just 4K...hope you all are ready for an exciting future of console gaming!

Obviously that's from a Microsoft employee but it still sounds good. :p

It'd be good if they updated some current generation games to support XSX features (60fps/4K etc) like they did with the XOX, it'd make a change from having a console launch with very few titles to show it off.

Any game with dynamic resolution or uncapped frame rates will get an automatic performance boost.

Same, currently playing through Yakuza 0 as never played of the others, really enjoying it so far.

A little disappointed to not see more, but I'm guessing July will be when they reveal their first party games, so looking forward to that, but will still take a lot for me to get this along with the PS5, but keeping an open mind.

Yakuza is the only interesting game so far.

Keen eyed gamers on reddit spotted an anomaly.

mall games announced today have a 4k 60fps badge on their series x store listing. But not AC Valhalla, it just says 4K leading to gamers believing it's locked to 30fps

I found this page which lists some features, as you say AC Valhalla doesn't have the 60fps but it's early days. Things could change.

Personally, I'll be peed off to the nines if it isn't 60fps.

And it doesn't look like Yakuza: Like A Dragon is even 4K HDR. Bizarro.

I won't be too fussed if AC is 30fps, it's not particularly fast-paced so if the choice is between compromised visuals and 60fps I'd take a nicer looking game (as long as 30fps is constant not a target).

Shooters, racers, platformers, fast-action titles, etc really feel better at 60fps but unless they've overhauled AC combat it's always felt more methodical than fast-paced.

Each to their own of course and if you're coming from PC then 30fps is always going to feel more jarring than if you're primarily a console gamer.

I don't think it's necessarily the feel but that 30fps seems to judder on my TV when panning around.

thats cause the output is set to 60hz and the framerate and refresh rate dont match up.
of course vrr/gsync/freesync fixes this problem BUT they only kick in at 40hz, so if the game is under 40fps there is no way to fix the judder and tearin g
