If they could get total war games on these consoles my pc days would be numbered![]()
I'm not following the narrative that there is a 2080 equivalent in either console personally.
Haha, that's the only reason I'm keeping my PC ticking over - for those type of games that are still PC exclusive.
That comes from the spec sheet really.
The new consoles use RDNA2 GPUs. The RX 6800 offers performance roughly equivalent to a 2080 Super. The Series X GPU is maybe 15-20% less powerful in paper (so not quite 2080 levels of performance).
It's certainly likely to be closer to 2080 performance than 1060, which suggests another explanation for the GN results (platform immaturity?).
How are the points collectors getting on with 10 days to go? I’m just about 2/3 the way at 6560.
So as a general question with next-gen consoles, how important is HDMI 2.1 if looking for a new TV?

If its a 4k tv that has either HDR or 120hz support its a must in my opinion.
Most games are 1440p/120 or 4K/60. I dont think many are going to really be 4K res at 120hz. I think the key thing to get if you dont get HDMI2.1 is a TV that can do 120hz as higher frame rate is the big win.
I say all this in the context of monitors really where HDMI 2.1 is rare, to be honest theres a no brainer choice for TV and gaming which is a LG OLED eother a BX/CX or the new 2021 screens. 2.1 HDMI and low input lag.

Think digital foundry put it as a match with a 2080That comes from the spec sheet really.

Anyone getting the flickering on series x? It flickers to black, then back like it’s reaquiring the signal. So bloody annoying
Could be a dodgy HDMI cable, might be worth trying another
