I got a preorder thru MS right at the start, was so grateful i was off work the day the preorders came online, and ordered thru MS directly.
Is anyone using their Series X to watch 4k UHD movies? I've just put one in mine for the first time and the disk drive is annoyingly loud. I don't mind the drive being a bit loud when installing games but I'd say its unusable for watching movies!
Me although can't say I've noticed the noise from the drive, if im watching a film the volume from my Sonos Arc drowns anything out.
That's one explanation, but Microsoft don't sell either and support 1440p.
But Sony only have the XH9005 that is "PS5 ready." They are just limiting the PS5 and it's negatively impacting the consumer.exactly, microsoft havent a tv department to protect.
Of course, my AV system too ( while watching Blade runner 2049 today ) but that's a film with never a silent moment.
Damn, I need a 2nd series X for my bedroom. Annoying having to keep unplugging the downstairs one.
Rather than forking out more money for another Xbox, for the time being you could try using a Windows 10 PC and the beta game streaming app.

Series S would be enough for your secondary, seems silly to spend another £450.
Depends really, if I had a Series X and a Series S then I'd still want to play the majority of games on the Series X as they will look better. Not much point buying a Series S if you don't want to use it![]()
People may be making jokes about the tools getting better here - but I have heard that build performance has indeed increased over time since launch on XSX. GPU compiler and stuff can be pretty important for GPU performance!
Woohoo - got my dispatch email from Game!
I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but it's nice to see the Series X faring better in recent comparisons! It achieves 2160p @ 60 FPS with high shadows, compared to the PS5 which manages 1800p @ 60 FPS with medium shadows.
