Is anyone using their Series X to watch 4k UHD movies? I've just put one in mine for the first time and the disk drive is annoyingly loud. I don't mind the drive being a bit loud when installing games but I'd say its unusable for watching movies!

Me although can't say I've noticed the noise from the drive, if im watching a film the volume from my Sonos Arc drowns anything out.

Of course, my AV system too ( while watching Blade runner 2049 today ) but that's a film with never a silent moment.

I watch UHD movies on mine as well and agree the disc noise is not good, I don't think it's because the drive is particularly loud it just seems like it's spinning the disc needlessly fast.

The One X didn't do this - as soon as it started playing in the bluray app the disc spin speed reduced so I'm guessing there's some kind of issue with the app on the series X.
If it is software related I'm hoping it gets sorted out soon and I've reported it to MS in several insider surveys.

Series S would be enough for your secondary, seems silly to spend another £450.

Depends really, if I had a Series X and a Series S then I'd still want to play the majority of games on the Series X as they will look better. Not much point buying a Series S if you don't want to use it :p

Agreed, i figure if you're in the position where you're buying a second xbox for convinience, an extra £200 is a minimal amount!

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but it's nice to see the Series X faring better in recent comparisons! It achieves 2160p @ 60 FPS with high shadows, compared to the PS5 which manages 1800p @ 60 FPS with medium shadows.

People may be making jokes about the tools getting better here - but I have heard that build performance has indeed increased over time since launch on XSX. GPU compiler and stuff can be pretty important for GPU performance!

It'll make sense to see this trend down the line once the X is fully utilised. Slightly inflammatory title from DF though.

Thats nice but console game devs need to understand frame variance is unacceptable, they should have reduced the folage density. For that reason I would say the PS5 version is the best out of the three, but so far seems the best enhanced game for these consoles. The visuals look nicer than cyberpunk in my opinion.
