xbox vs ps pad

360 pad is miles better. I've even bought a 360 shaped pad for my PS3 as I much prefer the stick layout.
The d-pad is crap on the normal 360 pad but the other day I bought one of those 360 pads with the twisty d-pad that goes from this:
no hotlinking
to this:
no hotlinking
and it's miles better.

Combination of both for me.

on the PS3 I prefer the feel of the analog sticks (just smooth somehow), the d-pad is better I guess, though not used much, and like the fact that it's light. However, it's overall not quite as comfy as the xbox controller, and the analog sticks are too close together.

On the xbox, I prefer the layout of the analog sticks, the triggers, the feedback from pressing analog sticks and the size is just more comfy overall. I just wish the analog stick felt as smooth as the ps3 controllers.

Neither is perfect.
 
The PS3 desperately needs its dpad and left analog stick swapping.

This is certifiable FACT.

Most definately the Xbox 360 pad. The PS3 pad has put me off buying any games for the PS3, so it only gets used as a blu-ray player.

If only the Xbox 360 pad had motion control and would work with the PS3, I could play the games such as Heavy Rain/Uncharted etc comfortably
 
360 pad, the analogue stick postitions are just meant for FPS. Honestly cannot see how anyone would think the PS3 pad had a better design for FPS.

PS3 pad feels better quality and the face buttons/d-pad are nicer but not enough to make up for the positioning of the sticks. Remember getting my first dual shock pad with my PS1 (or whichever was the first for the sticks) and always felt so unnatural just stuck to the d-pad.
 
360 pad, and I have smaller hands, the PS3 one is so god awful in its layout, but mostly just comfort.
 
360 D pad still needs sorting out even the new silver pad is worse I don't use analogue sticks hate them bemuses me how anyone uses those things they have far too much travel fps are for pc.If I could i'd use a ps3 pad on 360.

Prefer 360 pad. PS3 pad is shocking, I seriously hate it. I'd play a lot more PS3 if I could use the 360 pad!
 
360 pad:
Better grip
Better triggers
Better LS/RS click (i.e. R3/L3)
Better analogue stick position
Better balance rumble
Heavier (I prefer this)

PS3 pad:
Better analogue sticks
Better D-pad

I own both, and prefer the 360 pad. But I prefer the PS3... :D
 
Had both and I much prefer the XBox 360 controler though I think the triggers have too much travel time. PS3 controller is made for small Asian/kiddie hands anyway.
