XBOX Wireless controller Question?

Hi i've got an XBOX 360 wireless controller for windows and was just wondering does it turn off automatically? Because the light is still on all the time, I have to open the battery compartment up to turn the controller off :confused:

I dont have a pc one, but an xbox one turns itself off (and the light around the xbox logo, which tells you which player you are) after around 20 minutes.

I think removing the battery is the only way, quicker too!

I got one... turns off after a short while...

Press the middle X button while its on and you'll get a little display in windows pop up and tell you how much battery theres left too!

Yeah it turns itself off about 5 - 10mins, god I hate waiting

It turns off after a while. No battery drain for me either, had the same set in for months.

It does turn off, but I usually just push the button to open the battery compartment and move it down by about a mm or two - this switches it off but saves faffing about with completely removing the battery pack!
