I don't really care, I will get on fine with any controller once I've got used to it, there are things I prefer about the 360 controller and things I prefer about the PS3 controller, neither of them is a perfect controller.
Not forgetting the serrated edge analog stick = sore thumb. It wasnt too bad back then would probably avoid now though.
Whoever says that the Nintendo 64 pad was good has earned my eternal disrespect.
I mean... what the hell - one thumbstick in the middle of the pad, stuck out like some sort of .... And then there's weird button placements... not to mention the fugly colour scheme.
You have earned my eternal disrespect, N64 controller was great and well ahead of its time. the original xbox controller was fail as it was huge and didnt feel right
I have 2 friends who always make a dash for the original controllers leaving me with the spare S-Controller.
Sure that shouldnt be the other way round?![]()
Nope, what I said is right.
totally, the placement of the 'C' and 'Z' (black and white) buttons was so mch better on them, what ever did happened to having six buttons on the faces of controllers. Would much enjoy having them aswell as the bumper buttons.
I agree. Six face buttons work very well for a lot of games.
The 360 pad is good for FPS games and others BUT FAILS miserably when it comes to a good old fashion beat 'em up.... Though the 360 does feel a little more confortable and is slightly better for a typical game needing only the analogue sticks, the PS3 pad is a good all rounder. Making it my choice between the two.. IMHO
I do prefer fighting games on the PS3 pad though...DMC4 included, must have been crap using the bumpers, rather than L1/R2. (which are right next to the triggers)
Ah that massively popular genre that floods the market with games.
It's been discussed that the Xbox360 struggles with beat-em-ups, but as there are only about 2 or 3 a year then it's not too bad, plus, anyone who is serious about beat-em-ups shouldn't be using a pad.
Depends on the pad, I love my ASCII Fighting Pad for 2d fighters.
