the 360 controller is good but still a tad too heavy
Another good point, I LOVE how light my PS3 controller is, although my hands never actually ache from holding the 360 pad, it's a nice change going to the PS one.

If you think the 360 controller is bad have you ever tried playing a PSP? Your fingers go numb after a few minutes. Sony couldn't have come up with a less ergonomic design if they had tried.

I would rate the Gamecube pad above anything else, they were excellent... then the 360.
The whole argument is the DPad, not the controller itself. I believe the thread title is somewhat miss leading.
Whoever says that the Nintendo 64 pad was good has earned my eternal disrespect.
I mean... what the hell - one thumbstick in the middle of the pad, stuck out like some sort of .... And then there's weird button placements... not to mention the fugly colour scheme.
Corrected.^ totally untrue.
Then that is fair enough. I've said time and again that the Xbox360 has one of the worst d-pads ever, but I've also posted large paragraphs on why it's not such an issue when playing the majority of games.
I wonder if this is this the case with Elite's and the new 360's with built in HDMI ports? Perhaps the new ones have slightly different gamepads with tweaked DPads? Also, on a side note, my mate bought an Xbox360 3 weeks ago and I used his D-Pad when sending a message and it's so much more responsive and accurate than all the other ones I've used.
