Hello, recently ive been getting a lot of freezing.

The console completely freezes and i cannot hear anything but i can see it where its frozen.

It was left in its box for a month or so, but this surely could not have harmed it?

Oh and as im in this section, how easy is it to make a keyboard/mouse work for example COD3?

TIA

mines started freezing latley, ive had to restart it twice, but earlier this even on *** dashboard when playing, when i finished playing some rainbow six vegas it forze for about 20 seconds after sending a message to my mate, but it sorted itself out. If it persists get it looked at. There is a thread about linking mouse and keyboard to a 360 roudn here somewhere, do a search.

Hmm, i left mine for 2-3 minutes and it was still frozen.

Should i just keep going and see what happens & if it keeps on going try get a replacement? (it is now 6 months old) But has been used for around 2-3.

This seems to be happening to a lot of people with the latest games. GOW R6 Ive noticed from xbox.com are both causing freeze ups when you use the X button to bring up the side blade to send messages etc.

I swapped my last one out due to lock ups and freezes. First one lasted about 4 months 2nd about 5 months. Its something sadly Ive just accepted that for a good while yet I will be returning 360's.

i got mine a week or so ago and viva pinata seemed to make it freeze from about the third day onwards, I could play for an hour or so, but then it would freeze every 10 or 20 mins of play. Sometimes even as quickly as a few seconds after i got back into the game. After a couple of days the problem spread to PGR3.

I just took it back and got a replacement, and when i asked to swap my hard drive for the replacement's one they gave me the old one and forgot to take the new one!
Profit! :D

Happened to me a few times. Only had the Xbox about two weeks. Ah well. Gonna let it progress. When it freezes everytime i play ill worry.

I'd send it back if its happening a lot, I've been lucky in that I have a release date console and have never ever had a lockup of any kind in any game.

I'll give it a week or two and see what happens.

Anyone use a PC Monitor to play their X360 on?

Mine started freezing after about a month or so, sent it back to MS who fixed it and had it back to me within a week !!
No problems since (6 weeks), touch wood.

I have it connected to 19" Samsung LCD monitor, looks great.

Was that using the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable from OcUK? Also, is yours widescreen or standard? (looking to connect to a monitor to save room in my room.

I'm using a VGA connector, not bought from OcUK though unfortunately.
Have a look at this recent THREAD
about 360's on PC monitors, where i posted a couple of pics of it in action on my monitor.

Ahh yeah.
Will a 19" Widescreen be ok? Or would you say to get a standard?

Ive borrowed my mates 360 over xmas.. played test drive / tony hawks / gow and all of them have frozen on me :P... the dash board has.. and every 2nd time i play on in a shop it dies also lol.. im sorry but this is not what console gaming it about.. and the horrible bit.. i fully exspect the ps3 to do the same thing.. its no good tbh.. my wii has been on for ages and had some hrs clocked up and not 1 problem so far.

They have made them alittle too much like a small pc in a box for me tbh

Trying to sign up for XBOX live, every time I accept the terms and conditions is just freezes. What a piece of crap. Rang up MS and their answer was: Use your XBOX at your friends house or someone else you know with internet

WTF!

I really dont get what most of you do to your 360's. Launch day machine here and i've never had a problem.

*Touch wood*
