Xeon X3210 quad vs q6600 quad

Xeon X3210 is LGA775.

They're the same chips essentially so expect them to overclock much the same (you'll need a good motherboard though).

Duel Intel Xeon X3210s might be in order :) nice rig btw :)

Stelly
as far as i know, the 3200 series are only single CPUs... for dual you'd need a 771 mobo with the 5200 series.

anyone know where there are some benchmarks, reviews or comparisons of these new Xeon's compared to the C2Q's ?

I found a thread on XS with a 3210 ES clocked at 3.5Ghz with 1.28v.

The guy ran wPrime on 4 cores and got 12.5sec for the 32M test.

I ran wPrime on mine just now to find out that it can do 30sec with 2 cores.

(Maybe he used only 1 core and got 12.5sec?)
