XFX 4870 1024MB help!

Been using this perfectly on 1920x1200 for months now.
Suddenly about an hour ago the screen went black and two lights were lit up on the card.
Reset and I could see the BIOS loading, windows 7 load screen but then black again.
Searched around and some people see to think its a refresh rate issue. So I booted into low res mode and was able to change the screen to any resolution except 1920x1200 (currently typing this on 1680x1050). If I attempt to change back up I just get a black screen again.
Had a play in CCC and couldn't find anything. Also deleted all drivers and CCC and problem is still there.
In the windows 7 resolution selection screen it says 1920x1080 is now the recommended resolution but obviously this is incorrect.
Can anyone advise?

My mate had issues with his 100Hz tv he had to change the graphics card to 60Hz or 30Hz maybe that might help? other than that im not sure. dont the lights that flash up give an indication to the problem usually in the manual to the card it will explain what has happend to some limited extent.

Ok a fresh install of the latest CCC seems to have done the trick for now.
Hopefully this was just a one off...

had this same problem on a 4890 a few months back and reinstalling drivers done the job.
