Apparently the 625MHz XFX ALPHA DOG 8800GT has a non-reference single slot cooler with larger blower and black pcb. Looks like its USA only

I love XFX cards. My XFX 6800nu fully unlocked to 16/6 and overclocked like a champ. And my current XFX 7900GS 600M is an absolute stonker, for the money.
Of course, not having had any problems, I can't really comment on the customer server / RMA side of things

Got my 8800 GT XXX Alpha Dog
The kind man from citylink delivered my XFX GeForce 8800 GT XXX Alpha Dog 512MB last night at tea time
it blows my old Nvidia 7900 out of the water, well impressed, so far so good!!

Well now got my card to 742/1756/952
The shaders were stopping the core going past 720 so I have bad shaders and bad memory for overclocking on my card.
now got 32mark06 to 10453 and looking online comparison that seems right. A 730 (presume linked shaders) 1950 gt with a slightly fast AMD cpu got 10700 and many GT/AMD systems around my score.
Still disappointed it's only a 4% increase over my 8800 GTS 320Mb. Going to do some game testing now to see if games have only increased by 4% as well.
If so i will be gutted as I might as well have kept my old GTS.
I'm glad that you've got further with your overclocking but for not seeing the rewards after hearing glowing from GTX users is* just strange.
How has the gaming performances held out then?.
I think when you get things sorted that this GT will kick your ol' GTS upside down

Well I average 45fps on crysis with everything on medium and 25fps with everything on high at 1680x1050 but never ran that benchmark with my GTS so I don;t know if that is good or bad.
Going to try Dirt now. Been out all day so not had time to try anything but Crysis.
