XFX R9 370 Specification and Release Date Leaked!

Doesnt bode well naming them after hot dry Caribbean countries to be far :) ontop of that the only exports from Trinidad are Petroleum and Pitch oh and they have a famous carnival and a massively high murder rate.

If the card resembles any of the above it will be interesting to say the least haha

The only thing I can find about trinidad is that it is supposedly the same config as curacao, 1280:80:32, 256bit, 2/4GB.

Salt needed as wccftech source

Even with any tweaks and improvements that AMD have learned with tonga it is still going to be in the similar ballpark as the 270x, maybe just reaching the 280 non x in performance. If it is going up against the NVidia 960, which would seem to be its target, does make it very 'YAWN' but then again so was the 960 to be honest.

it might be a retooled full fledge tonga; but that's also doubtful as all full fat tongas are going to Apple....plus AMD has said no rebrands...all new chips this round....

They did say that, but I think the 285 will be the exception because it's already GCN 1.2.

I think it'll be like the 7790 => 260X.

110 to 130 Watts, if its as fast as a 280X those are pretty good power levels. about 100 Watts less.

Don't think AMD have said anything.

All of this is leaks and rumours.

AMD have not mentioned anything about re-brands or new cards. In fact they haven't said anything at all about the 300 series yet, have they?

Weird that companies are still sticking with DVI when customers are moving more to high resolutions and frame rates. One HDMI 2.0 port with a DVI adapter plus one or two DisplayPort 1.3 ports would be much better, surely?

Yes it is indeed trinidad, and it seems to go against the 960.
Performance/power wise its a great leap to amd i have to say if its really around 110w.

The new chips are:
Curacao->Trinidad
Tahiti->Tonga
Hawaii->Grenada
Fiji

And it's 4gb, so all's good in the world.
