I think it might just be possible that their bad publicity here (of which was pointed out to them) might have had a positive affect.
It was not unfounded anyway so glad they saw the light :)

Good result.

Even if us all looking down on them over our noses helped a teeny bit - forum lawyers and all - then that's good.

As others have said though this makes me think again with regards to their service. If if takes that much to get some courtesy then...

I don't think you should have had your card replaced as you don't have proof of purchase and they're not a charity but it's nice they did it as a gesture of good will.

That said you do have the right to not be spoken to like you were and that would have wound me up as well!

I've read this thread with interest and wanted to point out a whole load of coincidences that everyone seems to be ignoring:

Fact/Coincidence 1
Card bought from company that has gone bust

Fact/Coincidence 2
OP has NO proof of purchase

Fact/Coincidence 3
Actual card was shipped by mf 2.5 years ago (this itself would lead other mfs with 2yr warranty to do nothing. They only honour warranty from when they shipped it, backed up by post #92 above) (Everyone saying "This is why you buy from the likes of Gigabyte, MSI, EVGA" .... you're having a laugh)

Fact/Coincidence 4
OP presumably didn't register card with xfx before it supposedly went wrong

Fact/Coincidence 5
Card was shipped by mf just on the brink of Best Buy UK opening in mid 2010

Fact/Coincidence 6
OP claims card was 10 months old .. CWarehouse announced Best Buy closure on 6th November 2011 and closed 14th January. Why buy from somewhere going out of business ... even then coincidentally close to the end!

Fact/Coincidence 7
OP claimed he purchased online originally, then lost receipt. When it was pointed out that he could still prove his online purchase with bank etc OP suddenly changed to claim he paid cash!

Fact/Coincidence 8
OP claimed XFX rudely closed their communication with him, when we clearly see above OP is apologizing for not answering ... talk about twisting the truth to get forum support!

Fact/Coincidence 9
OP originally claimed he moved 4 times in the year ... then he only moved twice in more "truth" to XFX

My conclusion
OP has bought a second hand card with no warranty, or a faulty card to pull a fast one.
OP is hoping forum mob rule will help his case

Looks like XFX have helped OP ... So I am straight on ebay for a faulty card, I'll be sure to twist any refusals of help and post them here.

Well played OP :)

Work for XFX do you? I think you do...

First post and straight to here.. hmmm ok

If that company or employee is anyway involved in that 1 time hitter/quitter post, (would never be admitted if so) then it's absolutely hilarious. Unless the guy dealing with it got fired or seriously reprimanded, then I don't know if I'll be able to breathe with laughing so much (joking).
