XL BIG, BLACK AND BACK!!!! FOR ONLY £9.99 (Limited Time Only)

While i can understand peoples frustrations at the end of the day its only a mouse mate that has cost £10!

If it was pre-orders for something thats cost £100+ i can understand.

Oh and btw im waiting for the mouse mate aswell:).
This:
For a fair few of us it's a £40 mouse as well as we ordered them together assuming they'd ship saturday.
I ordered the mouse on it's own, then noticed the bundle. Created a thread in the CS section of the forum and asked for my order to be changed, which it did. Then the mats went out of stock, was going to ask for my order to be changed back, but now all of the mice are out of stock too. OcUK have lost
£41.99 from me now, as I have a computer with no mouse, and will buy from a competitor.

^this.

Awaiting an order for the Razer DA with this mousemat. Was hoping it would ship Saturday - an extra few days maybe ok, but 3 more weeks!!!

Mat I can wait for, mouse I cannot. I'd even happily pay for one lot of shipping if I could get the mouse sent now using up my free shipping, then pay for RM or something when the mats are in stock. Not happy - will see what I can find elsewhere and maybe have to cancel.

When I asked them to send me the mouse followed by the pad when its eventually in stock they told me:

The only way to do it is to buy the items seperately and pay full price for each, as our system does not allow us to backorder bundled items.

Since OCUK are apparently not in full control of their own system, then why not for those of us who have ordered the mouse & pad bundle:

1) Firstly cancel the orders.
2) Secondly refund the payments.
3) We can then order the death adder's separately.
4) OCUK can just send us the mats when they come into stock.

If the obviously flawed OCUK system cannot cope with step 4, then they can either use a pen and a piece of paper to record who should be receiving the pads or they can credit our accounts with the necessary funds for the price of the pad and delivery (for those of us not fortunate enough to qualify for free delivery).

valkia, its interesting to see you chose to respond to the post which was criticising the supplier:

Indeed! We at Overclockers UK are not happy with the delivery either. As soon as they come into stock they will be shipped out. I will keep you all updated.

But strangely enough you chose to ignore this post:

I wish OcUK would change their policy of taking the money out of your account immediately for preorders.

Will my post also be ignored? What do you think of my helpful suggestions to resolve the issue?

In fairness, I imagine a decision like that is out of valkia's control. Hopefully these suggestions are passed to someone who can change things though.

Making what is a rather large policy change like that is normally out of the hands of any one person, at least for a company that deals with the sales volumes OcUK does. Lots of discussion and probably some legal mumbo jumbo is required to switch stuff like that over. Though I agree it would be better.

The risk for OcUK is that more pre-orders would get cancelled should the money not have been taken. People would pre-order at multiple sites. A pre-order is a commitment to buy and some would prefer the money to be taken there and then.

I'm not overly bothered about the pre-order issue, and it's quite easy to understand Overclockers take on this.

Sometimes it is annoying, if it's a long preorder, as a customer may not have enough funds to "join the queue", yet know they *will* have funds when the preorders arrive. I know I've missed out on a few great deals that way.

The split bundle shipping issues are far more annoying. I'm fortunate to never have had a huge order (like a system build) delayed waiting for one insignificant item to arrive in stock - this mouse/pad bundle is the first one that's held up anything for me and it's VERY frustrating.

As I said, the mat I couldnt care less if it takes months, but the mouse I need now.

Amazon and play charge pre orders when they are shipped, so why can't OCUK? As for pre-ordering from multiple sites, its really not an issue on this thread since OCUK is the only place to buy this pad it seems.

Same here, my current mouse has a loose wire so its disconnecting/reconnecting every few minutes - now I have another 3 weeks of this.

Seems OCUK are ignoring this thread now.

I can understand the frustration of those waiting for the mouse, but as for the mat?
If we'd left the money in the bank the interest would be un-noticeable anyway, so it's not worth the stress ;)

Nothing they can really do is there as annoying as it is when the eta keeps getting pushed back.

Sure there is. They can refund our money, we can then order the razer deathadder and then they can credit our accounts with the funds required to purchase the boogie bug pad and delivery (£15.96).

Well for me it was time to cancel, so did that this morning.
Now I'll have the mouse tomorrow (not from OC unfortunately), and will get the mat when it comes in here or elsewhere.

I think it has something to do with Amazon and play being bigger companies. If lots of people pre-order an expensive item here, the supplier puts back the date to another month, lots of people cancel their order and then overclockers have lots of stock which they might not be able to sell. Where as Amazon and play can constant orders, so they can keep up with the demand and are a bigger company so they can pay to hold problem childs or lame dogs.

The boogie bug is a fantastic seller and we will never be stuck with stock. Its a shame that they have not delivered on time which I will be chasing as much as I can to get the goods into our warehouse and shipped to you / people who have purchased.

I'm guessing it was more a statement around the business model rather than specifics on this one product - like you said no problem with that, but if you ordered 500x £400 gfx cards based on preorders, then everyone cancelled them - I can understand taking the money straightaway.

I do think OC need to do something around part-shipping though, especially if initial ETAs get delayed. Surely some kind of part-shipment option, a bit like the rainforest do, would help everyone.

Yeah I guessed that, but I was meaning I think your policy is like that because of the reasons which I said :P

Also, what would be the quickest way of changing the order to the one with the mouse?
