I'm guessing it was more a statement around the business model rather than specifics on this one product - like you said no problem with that, but if you ordered 500x £400 gfx cards based on preorders, then everyone cancelled them - I can understand taking the money straightaway.
I'm not sure how that policy helps OCUK out. In the event of that scenario, 500 people pre order, then ETA gets pushed back so 500 people cancel, OCUK would have to pay back the money to everybody that cancelled anyway.
So it really is all about the interest the pre order money generates whilst sitting in the OCUK bank account.
The view we are getting from OCUK in this thread is, were in the same boat as you customers and were also frustrated with the supplier, its out of our hands.
However, I have posted a very simple solution for the mouse/pad bundle problem, which OCUK have chosen to ignore because it inconveniences themselves.
