What do you do for a living?

At what is classed as a bonus these days? I noticed some Mince Pies one a desk..... Could that be classed as a bonus?

Yes I get one paid on the 22nd, plus two weeks wages in shares and a dividend on last years shares.

It will pay for xmas, get my house re-decorated and leave me some more for toys and maybe a small gift for the wife and son

It's not a legal requirement for businesses to give bonuses, however it is customary in a lot of industries.

Security, however is not one of them, I don't even get overtime for working Christmas Day.

I did get a box of Roses Chocolates though...

No bonuses in the NHS, I think we get a free Xmas dinner though, mmmmmm hospital food!

Yea, will get one this year. I work for ASDA. How much it is depends on our rating in the mystery shopper programme. I joined 6 days before the cut off!

Won't be that substantial though, I don't think.

Not a thing, and we have to pay for our own christmas party. They are selling tickets. Yes, selling them to their employees. Like buggery am I going. Thats my main job anyway!

I may pay myself a christmas bonus. Probably 500 quid. Just becasue I can.

Nothing this year, not even a thank you day as they've given in previous years.

Then again we've issued 3 profit warnings, our share price has slumped and generally not doing well!

indeed, i get my xmas shopping done in november and then my xmas bonus is spent on me

been advised it will be between £350 - £700

No bonus for xmas this year, exepct from a free party. Expecting a free months salary middle of next year, as well as a 5% pay rise, and a separate performance bonus of around £900.

So I'm happy to wait until then

Yes, hoping to get a decent one, although I have some targets to meet first. In fact, I've just realised it's more like commission and not actually a Christmas bonus. Tight ****s!
