Xmas bonuses

We dont get a Christmas bonus. We get triple time wages for Christmas Day and New Years Day, but thats about it really.

My dad on the other hand! His company gives him a Christmas bonus. Plus he also got a timekeeping bonus for having no sick days over the year. Plus a free chinese meal of their choice served on the last day of work before they stop for the holidays. PLUS a massive free turkey or steak pie, enough to feed a family of 4 or 5 easy! Good quality too, purchased from a local butcher.

I wish I worked for a company like that =/

Have to wait until January for mine, fiscal year end for the company.

Expecting around £2k or so, minus some for tax. Pity it'll all be going towards clearing debts sharpish; might treat myself to a new monitor, though. :)

Used to get £50. Better than nowt, but it had been £50 for the past 20 years - you could buy much more for £50 in 1990 than today.

...a timekeeping bonus for having no sick days over the year.
Previous company did this. Such a poor policy imho, we had people coming to work with suspected glandular fever because they didn't want to loose their bonus

I stopped giving xmas bonuses this year, annual bonuses will get paid in April based on performance of the company rather than just a bonus for it being christmas.

Mine isn't an actual "Christmas" bonus -- rather just the annual one. We don't get special ones just because it's Christmas, though last year the company did buy us all a rather spiffing hamper full of goodies each.

Nope. Doubt I'll get one this financial year - won't find out till April 2012, although most of us are ahead of budget, the business as a whole may write it off owing to various reasons.

We get paid on the 16th, but the next quarterly bonus paycheck is the end of Jan.

We did get a free night out this week at the Old Billingsgate, and they have loads of random things planned for next week in the run-up to Christmas.

we're not even getting a christmas party let alone a bonus.

lucky not to have been made redundant earlier in the year.. :(

(work in IT for a clothing brand/retailer)

so yeah, thanks OP for rubbing it in... :D

Christmas party this weekend is all paid, but our bonus is quarterly and will get paid in Feb. Not only that, but they changed the bonus scheme for Dec and Jan so that we don't get any more than we would for any other month. And that's all dependent on whether our customer service score is above 80% otherwise I have to pull in 250 quid of margin/hr, which with a 20% average margin equates to 1.25 grand/hr in a little high street store. No chance as we average 10-15k as a store total per day. So the answer is maybe. Maybe I will get a rubbish bonus.

Yes but took mine in June :o We've a choice between June and December.

Think it was 2 weeks wages or something, shame I only work 16 hours a week though :(
