Xmas bonuses

December Bonus should be pretty good. I get a monthly bonus and came in at about 170% of target even though it's capped at 150%

This guy i used to work with, said that when he worked at a hedge fund doing first/second line they gave him and everyone else a £6000 bonus.
Sounds reasonable. Mrs works for a hedge fund (admin not trading) and in a bad year it tends to be about 25% of her salary.

To be honest a £6000 bonus is not a great deal even for first/second line support staff. A City firm I know had a bonus twice a year and support staff would be disappointed with less than £10-15k .

Mine got pulled when I gave my company notice in late Oct. Really sucks as I could do with a couple of extra K right now :(

Father got 10% off orders for meat between 28th December and 28th Jan =/

Its like, almost a bigger insult then getting nothing at all.

But as a public sector worker, you get that lovely warm feeling knowing that everyone loves you, and appreciates the work you do. ;)
Except for all the private sector workers, who've been manipulated by the puppet master at Nr10 into believing its all the public sector's fault we'r in the crapper right now you mean? :p

school boy error, always wait for your bonus before throwing in the towel

Makes no ods, bonuses are paid in two parts... One in December before Christmas and the other part is paid in March. If I would have waited I still would have had to work the 2 months notice period which means two months less in a new job which pays considerably more.

Sucks but thats life...

I was considering giving my staff a bonus this year but its been tough, very tough so in many ways they should be happy they have a job which pays ok and treats them well.

I shall be buying them all a christmas hamper each though which I get made by the local restaurant who do excellent local foods and home made goodies, seemed to be well recieved last year :)

Nice one, thats a great christmas present :)

No bonus's for us but we tend to get one at the end of the tax year

No Christmas bonus but do get a yearly bonus at the end of the financial year.

So along with my pay rise I should get between a 2k to 3k bonus depending on how my year end review goes :)

Bugger all here, despite playing a large part in a bumper year for the company. Ah well, there are other perks to my job all year round and the radiators are on this winter so I'm not going to grumble.

The company I am leaving does no Xmas bonuses and today announced 180 redundancies (50% of Factory Staff workforce)

Not a Merry Christmas for them unfortunately :/
