xmas presents - anyone else totally stuck what to get

I hate vouchers because they feel like a huge waste of money. For example, I got Fopp vouchers last Christmas, and everything I wanted was literally half the price online but I had to use up the vouchers, so I ended up wasting £10.

Ah, FOPP. I bought vouchers off them last year for my brother. One week later the store's closed as the company's gone bust.

Brilliant, £30 down the pan.

Never saw the point of vouchers tbh

If you give someone £20 of hmv vouchers they are limited to that shop and you also dont get the change, whereas if you give them £20 cash then they can buy what they want from anywhere and get change.

Seems pretty pointless to me
