He actually works for said company. You could be covered, but its prolly not likely.

Dont get 64 bit version, its a complete wasste of time. Just get Pro (but if you have home, theres no point upgrading it unless you really want/need the extra features esp after sp2)

It is really difficult to say whether it is legal or not. It really does depend on the licencing scheme that the company uses.

You should talk to their IT department, as they will need to audit it for asset managment and licensing reasons as you can imagine.

Don't bother with XP64, its not really worth the hassle, wait for Vista.

Like has been said, all the 'corporate' version is Professional with no activation for people with a Volume Licensing Agreement with Microsoft.
