Xp not recognising new hdd

Got a 500gb WD AAKS drive today but cant get windows xp to see it, the drive is recognised is the bios and in device manager.

Is there something im missing? :confused:

go in to control panel -> administrative tools -> computer management -> disk management and setup the drive.

or use western digital data life guard t9ools
