*** Xperia Z2 Official Thread ***

Thankfully the Z2 no longer has an anti-shatter screen protector on it as did the previous range of Z phones.

Now you can decide whether or not to fit one to the Dragonfly glass, which supposed to be stronger than Gorilla glass but scratches more easily.

Oh well black z2 preordered from three. Sadly they can't release it until the 2nd may which is of course their date and I leave at 8am for hertingfordbury for three days :(
I could have been typing this on a new Samsung s5 or HTC one so it better be worth the wait!.

If that was in reply to my post then all I know and the staff for that matter, is that on their own intranet there is a post stating the official release for Three as being the second and that staff can now confirm this to customers.

Of course I did ask if they should receive stock on the 30th or even the first could I then pick it up. I was sadly told that they cannot release it. It is indeed a very strict date for them.

I did try last night to pre-order online hoping that they may actually send out the phone early but they actually offer worse terms to upgraders as opposed to new customers. I was not impressed.
 
If it is of any interest CPW were offering £100 cashback on the Z2 when I ordered mine. Just gave them my card and they credited the money.

Ordered a official folding cases and charging dock for both. Plan to get the BSC10 when its available.

Speakers really are good. Not as much bass as the M8, but apart from that, the speakers are as good. No distortion!

Regarding the screen, I can see a grid unfortunately. Some people seem to have it, others not. I've got this from CPW, so I'll probably order one from Amazon as well to see if that's any better (when they eventually get stock).

Viewing angles are excellent though.

What were you on before?

I'm due an upgrade with voda, well, it was due mid march so I'm out of contract, and if they offer me that I'll take it. Currently paying £52 a month which was for a 12 month contract with the original Z

The HTC M8's colours look completely wrong!
 
Don't suppose anyone has tried the Z1 magnetic charger on the z2 have they. Just got my z2 yesterday and would like the charger but official z2 one is a bit more expensive.
