Apart from the fact its the single most powerful gpu right now, Titan is awesome because its called Titan

If ATI are gonna beat it they are gonna have to come up with something thats not only more powerful but has a better name. Maybe they should called their next one GOD
 
More likely to just call it an 8970 ;)

Optimistic, but a stock Titan is floating around a 7970 @ 1300mhz speeds, possible. One things for sure, these guys with multiple Titans will get their moneys worth.
 
Bah numbers calling a card something like "the destroyer" for example is both cheesey and epic.

Im hoping for some good clocks when i go water on the 7970, i can get 1200/6600 on stock volts but the vrms get too hot on air

How is para cord to sleeve with? I have some plastic and some para cord but haven't ventured in to actually sleeving yet. I like the look of shrinkless sleeving but still trying to decide which is easier. Having seen some of your sleeving on the last build (which is awesome btw) I'd appreciate any help going...
 
I've always used pre made extensions, what I have coming are custom made but custom made by someone else. Bitfenix extensions are good quality but are a bit plain and lack a real custom touch.

I'll have my custom kit this week and will have plenty of pics of them in my build log ;)

What fluid colours are you going to use on this scotty?
 
Yeah it's a mine field, for clear you really need the tygon e1000 stuff but it's only available in certain sizes :(

Red on both loops or black tubing on the other?

They should call it the Olympian (Olympians overthrew the Titans in Greek mythology :P)

His behaviour was truly shocking, however in case the information hidden in his blathering went unnoticed he is actually correct about dual loops being just for show at the cost of some performance (though they do have the benefit of being able to do modification/maintenance on one component, plus multiple colours!).

The noctua fans, for once, don't actually look too bad with the colours going on behind it!

What happened to the un-inverted motherboard layout?

Had to swap mobo back as lost the room for the thick 480 :(

Do you ever have the feeling of wishing you never started a rebuild :D

The fans don't look to bad, but they will be covered once the sides go on
 
Once you get the waterblocks on the GPUs I think the inverted mobo will make things look much better.

You are using those quick release sockets, which ones are they and do they work well ?
