Hi Guys

We have recently changed the way we handle RMA with XSPC to make things work better for our customers.

At the moment, we get a pretty good turnaround from XSPC which means our returns team is able to handle a problem quickly if you ever have one.

From now on, any XSPC product you buy that develops a fault will present you with two options:

1. You can return the item to us and we can test it for you like we currently do.

or

2. You can take a picture/video of the fault, upload it to imgur/youtube or whatever, send us a link and we will just send you a new product straight away.

Essentially, this will make everything loads easier for customers and will drastically reduce downtime for customers.

The second option means we don't need to wait for the product to be shipped back to XSPC before we can send you a replacement part. Also it saves you a trip to the post office to return a product with a fault. Once you have an RMA confirmation on an XSPC product, you can just dispose of the faulty item.

This is basically a win/win situation for everyone as it cuts down our testing time drastically as well as meaning we can effectively advance replace any faulty products immediately.

XSPC have been brilliant in supporting Overclockers UK over the past 4 years and this addition to our service should re-enforce some confidence in their brand as well as providing an extra level of service to customers looking to watercool their systems with top hardware.

Impressive customer service. For that level of goodwill I woudnt throw the item I would mail it back directly to them, they can refurb it, whatever.

Scratch our backs, we'll scratch yours. GG, XSPC.

Should be this way for GPUs (option 2). I dont like buying faulty hardware only to be told I have to send it back (RMA) Especially since Ive had advanced replacements before from OcUK only to be denied another for a brand new faulty card.

Graphics card being faulty isn't simple as watercooling products plus the general high cost of graphics cards i could see that being abused heavily.

Glad to see you guys are keen on the idea.

It really boils down to the terms we get with manufacturers. XSPC offer us a credit when we prove that an item is faulty, so if you take the video of the fault yourself it cuts us out of the equation and means we can apply for a credit immediately.

As mentioned, for the majority of watercooling parts which are sub £50 this method works well and cannot be abused.

The difficulty is that the way that graphics card vendors [and most other vendors work] is that they work on serial tracking and have to confirm fault on everything before issuing credit.

item goes faulty with you, you send it to us and we confirm the fault, we send it to the vendor who confirms the fault, we get credit, we issue you credit. It is long winded but they have to do it that way.

some companies offer credit in advance but it really depends on the vendor status with us as it can change often.

the ability to do this really depends on the complexity of the product we are offering it on. If its something simple like a fan or a watercooling reservoir then we can do it as long as the vendor supports it. for complex hardware it becomes more difficult.

hope this goes some way to explain things.

As it stands, it sets XSPC apart as the first vendor in our watercooling catalogue to allow us to offer this.

If I can add more brands to this then I will.

Good work getting this approved.

My experience with XSPC kit has been faultless so far and I've never needed to RMA anything made by them, but this is another reason to buy their products with confidence.

Thankyou to OCUK and XSPC for sorting this out. Remember to put place this prominently on each product page as it is a major selling point i feel. :)
