You worl 8 hours a day so that will leave another 8 hours for another job :p
 
The problem is now your boss knows your are looking elsewhere and will probably be expecting you to go for another job once the inital happiness of them giving you more money wears off.

If I was your boss you would have had the following good luck message:

"Hope the new job goes well!"

IT People unless very specialised are easy to replace.

As it is though, well done and put some away for a rainy day...seriously! :)

I am pretty specialised, and anyway I have a "Gentlemens Agreement" with the Director not to leave for two years :)

I'd violate any Gentlemens Agreement to earn extra cash! :p And no matter how specialsed you are replaceable. Still you are one jammy git! :D

True. It's really boring and unrewarding work plumbing though. I'd rather live my life and enjoy it than doing work half my life I hate.

Money is defiently in building. My father formed his own contracting company and in his first year of business, bought a porsche 911 with his misses! The work really sucks though, you need to make the choice between the two (don't suck if you are the one that owns the company bossing everyone around though ;))

Congratulations mate. You're a jammy sod! :p
