YESSS!!! fractal define r4 is out!

Very nice set of pictures!

Could you please give me the measurement from motherboard backing plate to the surface the side cover fits against?

Thanks

I'm curious how it compares to my R2 measurement of 183mm.
Measurement taken just above motherboard under top cover.

this? "A quick measurement of the area behind the motherboard tray, as we can tell there is roughly an inch of room back here to hide our PSU wires." ?

sorry, no. The distance from left side where cover fits against case in to the motherboard back panel that the motherboard standoffs are in. Sorry about the confusion.

In R2 I have have
11/16" behind motherboard panel to side panel mounting surface for cable management.
7 & 7/16" (183mm) in front of motherboard panel to side cover mounting surface.

I thought that might be the problem. ;)
The distance from motherboard mount (flat piece with hole where CPU mounts) to the surface side panel slides on (has 2 slots showing in picture below)

Not a problem really.

I am curious about the differences between R2 and R4

Love the casters idea. My XL is so heavy!

Measurements needed:

On your case measure
*Width (top to bottom of case in picture)
*Front to back of metal bottom (left to right in picture)
*Thickness of bottom of front door
*Side of case to sliding filter mount
*Distance from back of case to front of filter

Right side bottom front *Distance between lines.

TX650m and my TX650 I believe are same length

I usually mount fan down but my TX650 ver.2 fan is louder than anything else in case so will mount it up when I'm working on case this week.

yes, both are same length.

Both are for motherboard power?

8 pin is 2x 4pin. Put cable through back panel to cable management space. Up to top back hole and to motherboard socket. Should be long enough. I assume your 8 pin socket is top left as you face motherboard from bottom of case.

Mine just arrived, a little bigger than I had thought but what a lovely case! Ended up talking to receptionist (he was covering) for about 30 minutes as he has the R3 :p

If it's too big I'll trade you my R2 for your R4. Will even throw in a caster base, 3x Akasa FN053 fans, a 5 fan Akasa PWM splitter and post it to you. :D

Thanks for the offer but I will probably stick with it - will know more when I bring it home. I may be interested in purchasing one of your caster bases though, what do you charge?

After looking inside the case.....my cable management is normally crap but I am going to go the whole hog this time.

I bought one, nice case but 2 issues with mine.

One of the 'push to open' thingies on the front panel doesn't work properly and there's some chips off the paint on one of the side panels which has some rust on the steel beneath.

Sound dampening is not very effective, sounds exact same as my switch 810 (both with same fans, stock fans on switch are way too loud).
