Yes I know...blah, blah, blah but some...

...walked off with my Zippo while in the pub tonight!

Does anyone have any reasonable recommendations for a sub £30 lighter?

Cheers.

I have a Zippo I 'acquired' last time I was smashed. Think some dude had left it on a wall with his cigs or something. Its a little hazy.

Anyway, you can have it. You need to collect though.

(edit: but a real zippo is of course the best replacement for a zippo)

Under advisement but I wonder if anyone has come across anything as good or better?

I was always under the impression that zippo where the dadies, could be wrong though as i dont use a lighter. :)

I have one of those. Can be difficult to see the flame in daylight though so be careful.

'tis most generous of you to offer his lighter but I guess you live too far to make it viable. Thanks anyway.

I've got one of them, and the square one by the same people. Nice lighters, but I never seem to be able to fill them up properly :/

I prefer my zippo anyway.

i have no troubles filling it up, just turn it upside down with the gas can and press it down.

I have a bizarre inability to refill gas lighters.. seriously. Whenever I do, they never work properly afterwards, they always spack out :(

Hmm. I used to get that problem, maybe its a cack seal? Do you fill your lighter up upside down? The only reason i do it that way is because i was told to refill my bb gun like that :p lol

Kindof off topic but my my Zippo doesn't work properly either. I'm pretty sure I'm refilling it correctly and I've even changed the wick and flint but nothing. :(

Has anyone sent their Zippo for repair or know how to?

Trick to the replacement wick is to not run it straight. You need to interweve it in with the cotton wool packing in there for it to work properly.

Zippo is really the way to go. Only other alternative is a flint lift arm if you like the retro style "cool".
