Yodel Delivery Service - OMG!

Love Yodel, bought a new laptop once they left it out in the rain. Thankfully the rain forest have good packaging so the water didn't go through. They don't seem too bad these days, at least the guy they have in my area isn't bad

Had no end of problems with these jokers. having a parcel put through the living room window which fell behind the couch for a week and thrown over the fence. Just noticed this.

I'd be hiring a scissor lift or a tower scaffold at the retailers expense to get that down. Teach them a lesson for using sub par couriers

I bought a game the other day. Surprisingly it works. But was late. Got a reimbursement from the company though. As soon as I found out yodel was the courier I expected it though.

"Abdul
Sorry top of your roof
Unfortunately there was no safe place to leave your parcel/your advised safe place did not meet our safe place policy."

my ******* sides.

Normally Yodel are in a fairly small league, along with Herpes, but a couple of weeks ago the postie (I suspect not the normal one) decided it would be a good idea to put all our parcels in the dustbin and put a card through the door saying so.

About 6 weeks ago, Yodel made a delivery to my work. Remembering this topic and was shopping for a carrier myself I went and had a talk with him. He was a nice bloke and laughed when I said that, Yodel have a reputation for being parcel beaters. He let me look in his van and everything was well stacked and braced.

But that van is only a very small part of the parcel's journey. It's probably already been on/offloaded 5 or 6 times by then.

Your parcel should only ever be in three vehicles. The trailer at the client (loaded by the client), the trailer from sort to the local depot, the van to make the delivery.

Source: I work for em

Edit: small clients get a van

Aye, hence my comment.

Loaded on to PUD
Offloaded from PUD at depot
Loaded on to linehaul at depot
Offloaded from linehaul at hub
Loaded in to outbound linehaul at hub
Offloaded from linehaul
Loaded on to PUD at depot

That's 7 "handlings" depending on whether you are direct trunking etc and exactly what method you use to offload (machineable freight can come directly off a linehaul onto PUD depending on how you're belt is configured but incompatible needs manual sorting)

Thanks for the free dual monitor setup. :D

On a positive note, Yodel brought me back to OcUK. I had a really bad experience with overclockers years ago and didn't use them for a very long time so I was primarily using ****** (sound like ebay, but not). Then they switched to Yodel and after the first 2 purchases I vowed not to use ****** again and haven't. They also decided to abandon all customer service at the same time.

Then came back and used OcUK again for the first time in years and its all been great since. I think any company who uses Yodel really don't care about the service you get.

Obviously not Yodel but whose the best courier to send under 300 grams, £490 of gear to Austria ?

Im getting quotes of £25 so far

Anyone know ABC ? They never tried to deliver just returned the parcel lol and the company who sent blamed me
