You had one Job Jonathan from DPD!

He probably wasn't sneaking, skulking, prowling, stalking, or anything of the sort :p

Heck, would anyone here honestly think that calling 999 was the correct response to seeing a DPD driver get out his van and proceed to enter the school via the incorrect entrance? Seems a bit over the top to me! Surely you'd just approach and say, "You need to go to reception... I'll take you there," or something.

The guy kicked off though, he didn't just go in the wrong entrance then go ow sorry and go to reception :-P

Schools are a serious place when it comes to unidentified persons.

Some have 2000 students... and with the recent threats to children's lives it's warranted.

If I see someone without a badge or visitor I'D I will challenge them.

What people need to realise is:

- Often the parcel is not even on the van.
- They pretend they tried to deliver so they keep their Service LEvel Agreement with the company they deliver for
- The best way to get back to them is tell the company you bought from.

Surely if they're already inside, it's already far too late?

I switched to OCUK as my supplier of choice about 11 years ago specifically for DPD because I live <2 miles from the depo, makes collecting anything simples. Before that I used a supplier who used Citylink, who always insisted on taking my parcels to a depo 2 hours away instead of the nearest one lol.

No....
If they are outside whilst being on site then that's one thing. If one was found inside a classroom with kids then yes too late. But they never would get that far.

What if they have a gun though? or a bomb? or a badly scribbled portrait of Karl Marx?

I really don't know where your going with all this lol.

My old school.was surrounded by tall fences. But was silly as the Reception was no where near the main entrance.

Yes anyone unidentified getting in would be too late if they had a gun or a bomb.
