As title really. I have an X1900XT that was fine all through yesterday afternoon and was playing Prey quite happily. The machine was switched off last night and then switched back on again a little later on and I was greeted with the flashing red letters "You have not connected power to your graphics card" or something to that effect.
I switched the machine off and checked all the cables but I still got the same message. I changed the PCIE cable and also changed the modular connection on the psu to see if that made any difference - it didn't.
This morning and I still got the same message. I tried one last time (without changing anything, cables etc) and I booted into the BIOS first - then rebooted from here. JOY! The card worked again and booted into Windows. My question to you is why did it not boot the first time?
Specs:
Tagan 580w Easycon
Sapphire X1900XT
Gigabyte DS4
2GB G.skill PC5400
Celeron 326 (Waiting for conroe
)
1x74GB Raptor
1x80GB Barracuda
SoundBlaster X-fi
3x120mm Fans
Thanks for any help.
